About this property

The Garden District Flat

This is the upstairs unit in a historical duplex downtown. We lived in this cute historic home for over a year and loved it! If you're looking for new and perfect, this is not it. It is a cool old house in a neat location. In the morning, you can walk to breakfast at Jesters Cafe and take a peaceful stroll at night to the riverfront or historic downtown with restaurants and bars. Private second floor duplex

The outside of the house reminds us of our visits to New Orleans, and so we decorated this space in honor of The Garden District. Enjoy the pleasant garden vibes with plenty of natural light, the stocked kitchen with gas stove, comfy and cute spindle bed, and your own private back deck with lush vegetation.

You'll receive access codes for the front door and your door. After you walk through the front door, your next entrance is on the second floor.

The front door has a keypad deadbolt.

The second entrance has a key pad door handle.

This is a 2nd floor duplex in a huge old 1920s Victorian style house. We decided to decorate it like A Garden! We hope you love it!

We are here if you need us, invisible if you don't. You can check in anytime with the keypad lock and start relaxing! We'll likely text you during your stay to let you know we are available. If we don't hear from you, we will assume you're happy!

Downtown Wilmington is quiet and comfortable. There is a neighborhood around the corner that has a ton of antique stores and a coffee shop. Or, walk toward downtown and check out the neighbors houses which are stunning. You'll love love love the walk.

You can walk anywhere or take a free trolly that goes around downtown. It doesn't go down 5th street but once you get closer to Front Street, you might spot it.

Street parking is available nearby.

We also offer airport pick up and drop off! If your flying in and don't want to worry about a taxi or Uber please call or message us about details, we'd love to help out!

The house is a duplex and you have the entire second floor. Sometimes there are renters on the first floor. They are also air bnb'ers! It is a place to chill and relax. We include coffee, a few lite options for breakfast and basic essentials available for you when you arrive!

Checkout is 11am, but we can offer late checkout as availability allows. 12pm checkout is $20, and 1pm checkout is $30. Please contact us first and if we can accommodate your late checkout, we will be happy to.

Fantastic trip!!

I've been looking for a place to stay in Wilmington that is perfect for a solo or duo trip with my husband just to bike around the historic district and eat good food and this is within biking distance of not only the historic district and the river walk/downtown area, but Greenfield park as well!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Proximity to the riverwalk as well as the beach were great. Comfy place with nice amenities. Loved having a kitchen for that fabulous price. Property manager was very responsive. We were a little taken aback by the construction going on right outside the house but that was basically out of their control. We needed a one-bedroom close to downtown. The house was easy to find. Check-in was seamless and we felt safe. The accommodations were just as described/pictured. Spacious layout. Quaint and Safe Historic Spot

I absolutely lucked out on this adorable VRBO rental for my first solo trip. The coded locks on all entrances made me feel so safe as a single woman traveling, and it was a comfort to have the owners in contact and friendly in the off chance I had a problem. It is an amazing location in Wilmington, you could even walk to the riverfront and historic district of you wanted but it's a short and easy ride to ample downtown parking. You're still close to the action without feeling like you're surrounded by the tourist areas. I cannot recommend the place enough

Great Find – Exceeded Expectations for the Price

My wife and I are both retired and can afford to stay anywhere, but we also appreciate the value of a great find. We prefer unique places like this over the obvious high-end options where you’re paying for a certain level of luxury. While this home isn’t a five-star resort, neither is the price—and for what we paid, it far exceeded our expectations.Built in 1912, the house has plenty of historic charm and was clean, comfortable, and well-situated. We stayed for four nights and walked to downtown Wilmington every day and night, feeling completely safe while strolling through the beautiful historic neighborhood.If you’re looking for a well-priced stay that delivers more than you’d expect for the cost, this is a great choice. We’d absolutely stay here again!

A Gem!

I came to Wilmington to visit my son for Parent's Weekend. When I went on VRBO this was the first house that came up in the listings. I couldn't believe how reasonable the rate was per night and how cute the accommodations were. When I arrived I checked in easily and the rest of the stay went just as smooth. It was pretty hot the 4 days I was there (Hurricane Helene) but the temp inside was perfect. Convenient to dowtown and anywhere else my son and I wanted to go. I used Uber to get around when my son wasn't available. Would highly recommend to anyone!
