The location and the view cannot be beat. The photos don't even do it justice. We loved just sitting outside and watching the sunset every night. We held our wedding here and it was beautiful. The host was very accommodating with everything.

Stunning lake views and sunsets

Stately home on a beautiful location. Home remodels could be better and some unfinished. Kitchen is awesome and beautiful views of the lake. Communication with owners so so.

Charming house on MBI

Charming house. Amazing location with beautiful and large private beach. Some fun activities on the island for kids and adults. Owners working on some updates which will make the house a perfect vacation spot! We enjoyed watching sunsets and playing in the lake, searching for beach glass, and roaming around the small island. Nice getaway from the city!

Great views

The location and views from this rental cannot be beat. We loved being right on the water with beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything we needed. There was plenty of space and beds for everyone to have a comfortable stay. There were some updates in process and a water softner would go a long way with keeping up the water pressure in the showers and using the dishwasher.

Very big historic house in a great location.

The family loved the view of the lake and this private beach. The house is very large and looks historic, and the owners are clearly working to improve it. Would love to know the full history of the place. It can get very hot on the islands in the summer, and it is hard to cool a property this large. The owners have provided additional AC units upstairs to help with this. We used to have a place on the other side of the island, and it was great to get back to Middle Bass. One thing I would mention, you are in the middle of nowhere. Cell service is terrible. But the internet service to the house is surprisingly good. We watched MLS soccer in HD during our stay through AppleTV MLS.

Fixer Upper with Beautiful View

The view of Lake Erie is hands down beautiful from this home right on the water. The kitchen is well stocked. The home itself is older and definitely needs work. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. The rest of the home, inside and outside would benefit from a deep clean/cleanup. The doorknobs fell off causing one of our friends to be stuck in the bathroom. Looks like renovations have been in motion but never completed. Only one set of towels provided for each guest for 5 day stay and no washer. Cleaning crew was to provide a new 5 gallon water due to being well water there, it was empty and we had to buy at General Store. We had to clean the crock of dead bugs before we could place the new jug. There were bats or birds behind the wall of one of the upstairs bedrooms keeping our friends up at night. Chimney would need to be cleared out and capped to prevent? Woke up to water on the floor in the kitchen area after it had rained, coming from the ceiling. Overall we did enjoy our stay but would love to see this beautiful piece of property given some attention.
