About this property
Private Modern Country Farmhouse - 2 Acres
Welcome to the Farmhouse
When you drive down the private dirt road, just off Paradise Mountain Road, you will first see the red barn on the left. It is home to Dakota, a lovely Thoroughbred, who loves people. Make sure to wave at her as you drive by. You may see the 2 goats next to her jumping around and eating in the pasture. Throw them a wave too, as they also love people
You will then go up the private drive and through the private gate. You'll go under the weeping California pepper tree which hangs over the drive coming in. You'll notice one of the 5 tree swings that are on the property hanging from it.
Head on into the car port and park your car.
Next head to the front door and use the keyless door code to enter. Once inside take your shoes off, relax and get cozy.
Head into the living room and turn on the flat screen tv. Turn on a movie or some sports to keep on in the background as you sit on the cozy sectional couch and catch your breath. Walk by the breakfast nook and imagine the breakfast you will be eating there tomorrow morning as you stare outside at the 300 year old oak tree. If you look closely you'll see the owl who lives in his little house up there. He likes to look back at you as you eat. Depending on the time of year, you may see some flowers blooming from the mature cactus just outside the window.
Head on over to the game room. Let the kids turn on their own private tv and play some Nintendo Switch as you get settled. Let them go through the board games in the shelves if they need a screen time break.
Meander on into the kitchen. Check out all of the different beer, champagne and wine glasses in the glass hutch against the wall. We have glasses for all types of beer and wine.
Walk down the hallway and sink into the bedroom in the master. Get your suitcase unpacked and clothes hung in the spacious closet. If you brought some work with you, get your work station set up on the unusually tall work table and chair (it's fun to sit that high up in the air)
Have the kids get settled in their cozy bunk beds in the hall bedroom. They can hang out on the love seat on the floor and read some of the books in the nightstand.
After you get situated inside, explore the property. Please just don't go behind the wood fence that is in the back of the house. There are 2 casitas back there that house 2 different tenants. Lisa is back there and she owns the horse and goats. Craig & Shawntell live in the other unit.
See if you can find one of the 5 tree swings on the property and feel like a kid again.
Get out the cornhole or mini putt off the game shelf that is in the shed. Or hang out on the hammock under the large tree just outside the master and listen to the sounds of nature and listen for the goat noises from the goats next door
Once sunset comes around, pour yourselves some drinks and head to the fire pit at the front of the house. Kick it on and watch as the colors of the sky light up. Wait for the stars to come out. which you have some drinks and reminisce. The stars sine so much brighter out here in the country.
Wake up the next morning and bring a cup of coffee out by the barn and place a round of frisbee golf to work off the hangover. Stroll over and give Dakota a pet. Feed the goats some of the grass off the ground and get some laughs in as you watch them do their funny goat things that they do
It is surprisingly refreshing out here. There is just something about being around the old cactuses and oak trees that refreshes your soul
