The BEST of the BEST at Paniolo Hale. This UPSCALE condo is very tastefully decorated with custom TOMMY BAHAMA furnishings, and has a double lanai to add extra living space. You have to see it, to believe it. This is the largest floor plan for the 2 bedroom, 2 bath units. The soaring ceilings in the living room and kitchen capture the breezy tropical setting of this property. The master bedroom suite is on the main floor, with a four poster bed that opens out to the screened lanai. The elegant master bath has a deep soaking tub and shower, surrounded in glass. The second master suite is upstairs, featuring a high cathedral ceiling, two queen beds, and opens onto a large lanai. There is comfortable lounge furniture. There is a peek at the ocean from here, and you can generally hear the surf. The bath has a walk in shower, and the laundry area, featuring a full size washer and dryer, is close by.
There are rich hardwood floors throughout, accented with beautiful woven area rugs. The EXTRA LARGE WRAP AROUND LANAI is totally screened. There is a dining table for 6, and a bed for that afternoon nap. There are a pair of oversized wicker chairs outside of the master bedroom. The wrap around lanai opens to the living room with a series of connected oversized bi-fold doors, increasing the living space by another 500 sq.ft.
The expansive GOURMET KITCHEN is a chef's dream. Everything you could possibly want is here. Ingenious use of commercial tool units hold all the cooking utensils, flatware, dishes, and extras. This area is open to the living room, giving a distinct great room feeling. There is a new 58" Smart TV, and accompanying sound system.
Parking is right in front of the condo, and you have your own private entrance. This is an end unit, so it affords a lot of privacy and quiet. You can usually hear the crashing surf here, and the breeze blowing through the trees. Total luxury in a setting of verdent green vegetation Close to the beach, and even closer to the pool. Comes totally furnished with everything you could want during you stay in a condo.
Paniolo Hales is located on Molokai's west side with short walk to Kepuhi Beach, Make Horse, and other AWESOME WEST END BEACHES. During the winter months there is surfing, and in summer there is swimming and snorkeling. This is the SUNNY AND DRY SIDE OF THE ISLAND, so you are assured to have great weather during your stay. Paniolo Hale is an OASIS of lush green vegetation, with large monkey pod shade trees, that keep you cool. There is a tiled pool, with bathrooms, along with propane BBQ's in several areas around the property. It's a perfect dream spot for island living in paradise.
Come relax, and enjoy the warmth of the sun. Explore the island's varied scenery, take a cultural hike at Halawa Falls on the East End, go snorkeling at Murphy''s Beach (aka "21 mile beach"), take a whale watch trip (winter season), or charter a fishing boat to go out to the largest reef of it's kind in the US. Everywhere you go, if you offer a smile, you will get one back, and people will want to "talk story" about their island.
But be careful, because Molokai can embrace you, making you want to come again, and again.

Very beautiful and comfortable condo with a wonderfully equipped kitchen. Island breezes are maximized with the floor plan and folding doors leading to an inviting lanai. Very clean and beautifully maintained. We’ll be back!
Such a beautiful and comfy place to vacation with your family. Clean and lots of amenities. Close beaches, and stunning grounds. The host was great to deal with. We even added an extra day with no trouble.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Not the cleanest VRBO we've rented. Dirt in many corners; even some bird droppings. The Dyson vacuum canister was stuffed FULL. Washing machine worked well but dryer kept shutting down so had to continually restart. Dishwasher worked great. Pots and pans have seen better days...bottoms extremely scorched and burnt. Could use a smaller sauce pan. Freezer coils likely need cleaning as freezer iced up and dripped water. Ceiling fans were nice to have but could not increase speed. Location is nice. Communication with manager was good.
If you are looking for a quiet and chill spot, this would be tough to beat.
The two beaches that are in walking distance (2-5 minutes) are lovely and provided hours of enjoyable swimming in the summer.
Plenty of space and kitchen items for 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 grade schoolers.
What a great rental! These beds and pillows combined with the fresh air from the open lanai trade winds made for excellent sleep! There is every kitchen gadget you could ever want- waffle maker, bread maker, vitamix, salad spinner etc. Close to pool and beach. Will return!
Was very impressed with the hale, plenty of comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen was great and had everything you need to cook with. The upgraded showers were also very nice. I would highly recommend this hale
for any large family or group of people. Large enough that everyone can have their own space if needed.
Nice place to stay.
Need more fans, as there is no air conditioning, the property manager provided some.
Kind of panicked when we didn't get the check-in information before we arrived, finally reached the property manager and got the information (was worried it was a scam and didn't want to arrive there with no reservation, even though we had confirmation.)
Well-appointed, comfortable beds and living area. Wrap around deck was great. Nice pool. Easy walk to the beach. Good chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Fun funky kitchen.
Note: A lot of information on the web and in books about Molokai are obsolete.

Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning at any Molokai rentals, due to condominium association restrictions.
We did supply additional fans, upon request, for this guest. It was an unusually warm time during their stay. There are ceiling fans in each room, and there is a lot of shade protection from the surrounding trees and vegetation.
Many guests arrive without their information e mail that was sent to them before arrival, and many even leave home without it. When that happens, they contact us when they realize they don't have it.
This is one of the most beautifully renovated units at Paniolo Hale, and most people are very surprised by the luxury it provides on a small island where it can often be hard to find.
Traveled to Moloka’i with my cousin and our spouses, and we all had high expectations given the description and pictures for the listing, which easily convinced us to book our stay at this property. Still, it exceeded every expectation! Great pre-arrival information was shared by our contact for the rental, and all questions were promptly answered. The fabulous kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the screened in lanai on the main floor offered quiet, reflective areas to enjoy as much separation as we wanted while still being together (as did bedrooms on separate floors), and the beds and linens were so comfortable! Beach chairs to enjoy sunsets were appreciated and we were all so grateful for such a comfortable, peaceful location. We could have stayed for a month!
We were so pleasantly impressed by this unit—beautifully styled, amenities galore (all the appliances, utensils and beach gear you could want), wonderful screened lanai to enjoy the breeze without critters. The property is lush and very well maintained. Quiet, with only the ocean and birdsong to be heard plus one loud early-rising peacock! We all enjoyed the pool to cool off in the afternoon. The property is on an abandoned golf course with easy walking trails using the old cart path. This unit doesn’t have a view but feels like you are in a treehouse, watching the birds for entertainment. Being shaded also kept the unit cool. Molokai is rural and there’s no nearby restaurants or stores. But we enjoyed cooking great meals, using the grills (v well maintained) and spending time with family. Thank you for a great vacation!

Sounds like you found a place that you could appreciate for all the reasons you stated.
It is a very special unit, and you are right, it is like a tree house. You can hear the ocean waves on many days, and see a small view of it from the second floor. It is convenient to the pool and to the ocean, being between the two.
The quiet is what I always notice when I am there, punctuated only by singing birds.
We hope you decide to come back in the future.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this bright and comfortable condo just steps from the beach! The layout allowed each couple their own private space, as well as room for enjoying each other’s company. The kitchen is well stocked and the large counter was great for food prep. The upstairs lanai was great for watching the night sky and we enjoyed hanging out and dining on the main floor lanai. The beach chairs came in handy for watching the sunsets as well as the monk seals! Hope to return!
Beautiful unit, tucked away in what seems to be the only irrigated community on the island. Verdant, shaded, peaceful. But the 5 acres of the community are in the middle of an extremely dry near-desert.
First the positives: Great beach about 100 yards away. Fantastic snorkeling, and great waves for body surfing. The unit is on the western end of the island, so we watched the sun set behind Oahu from the beach every night. Just lovely!
Now, the negatives: The adjacent resort (a former Sheraton) has closed. The local condo owners still run the pool and hire security to patrol, but otherwise it's a ghost town with boarded up buildings and dry/dead golf courses. No restaurants nearby.
