Breakers Cape May - Charming beach block Victorian home

Looking for a charming Victorian home close to the beach AND in the heart of Cape May? The Breakers is in THE perfect location, less than a block from the beach and about a block from Washington Street Mall with its dining and shops. Park in our private lot and forget about your car until you leave.

This classic Victorian was built in 1880 and retains its charm from yesteryear, from the wraparound porch (where you can watch the horse and carriage tours mosey down the street) to antique furniture adorning the home. Yet the Breakers provides modern conveniences and amenities. We have 2 modern kitchens, water (and fireworks!) views from the deck, and 8 spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite/private bathrooms.

The Breakers has been a well-known summer vacation home since 2005. Our family bought it in 2022 and hope to share with you why we fell in love with it. Do a search for Breakers Cape May for more information on the house.

Note: Pillows, bed quilts, bath mats, and kitchen towels are provided. Please bring your own sheets, bath/beach towels, etc. We are happy to recommend local linen services.

Great rental house

The location was great and the numerous bathrooms were a plus. Well appointed kitchen, very clean, friendly owner, and easy walk to everything including grocery store. Beach box and chairs were nice. Would this house rent again !!

For a family reunion with ages ranging from 1 to 98, The Breakers exceeded our expectations in every way. Everyone said they wanted to come back next year.

Best Rental Experience Ever

From the house decor to the well equipped kitchen to the bbq area, front porch and top deck… this house is amazing… I fell in love with it. On top of this, the owners are highly responsive and easy to talk to and the location is superb. We were 8 adults ages 39-52 and I know everyone loved it!!!

Wedding Weekend

My family and I stayed at the Breakers for a long weekend when my daughter got married in Cape May. The house was absolutely beautiful and the location cannot be beat!! There were 19 of us and we never felt crowded. All of the bedrooms had their own bath which was really nice. The host Jenn responded quickly and made everything so easy. Staying at the Breakers made a memorable weekend even more so!

Less than a block from the beach and beautiful!

The Breakers was amazing! Our big family stayed there and the adults loved the Victorian style home. Almost every room had an onsuite bathroom. There were 3 refrigerators and 2 kitchen areas. The first floor had 2 living rooms and a dining room that were all open concept. Perfect for a small family baby shower. They also had lots of beach chairs for use.

Girls Weekend Celebrating Mary's 75th!

Sisters, sisters-in-law and nieces had an amazing weekend to celebrate Mary's 75th Birthday. The listing was 100% accurate and this very spacious home had everything you could ask for ... the kitchen had every imaginable supply, glassware, appliance, etc. The location is just two blocks to the beach and two blocks to Washington Street with so many shops, bars, restaurants, church, etc. And, we fit all eight cars in the driveway! Thank you, Jenn, for being so responsive and a great host. We will long remember this lovely weekend.

Great Thanksgiving week

We were a group of 15 family members from far and near, ages 8-93. The house is wonderful, stocked so well and immaculate. And so charming. We left it exactly as we found it. Location is perfect!! It couldn’t have been a more perfect week for all of us. There is so much to do in Cape May this time of year. Trolley rides, Christmas fair at Congress Hall, West End Garage, Washington Street. We even saw Santa and Mrs Claus on Washington Street. I can’t say one negative thing about the house or location. Thanks for the hospitality!!!

A weekend away

We stayed at the Breakers for my 30th birthday celebration and loved the home! Jennifer was a great and extremely responsive host. When we first checked into the house we realized there were no sheets or towels and messaged Jennifer she responded to us immediately. We had some friends bring down sheets and towels for everyone, so just make sure to pack those. The house is beautiful and so unique. Its close to everything so we got to see a lot of the town. Hope to be back when the weather is nicer!
