Ideally located 1/2 block from the beach and 1 1/2 blocks from the shopping mall.

Comfortable front porch to catch the ocean breezes with well apportioned rooms (not tiny condo size) with first floor ceiling fans, upstairs window a/c units in the bedrooms. Traditional summer cottage decorated with antique furniture and Victorian prints. Initial paper products are supplied - guests need to bring their own refill supplies. Comfortable sized dining room for friends and family. Tenants need to please bring their own linens (sheets & towels). Living room has summer wicker furniture, TV, cable, and VCR.

Perfect for the family

Great location, just a short walk to beach and downtown. Cape May is lovely I can't say enough about catching the breeze on the front porch and just relaxing. The house is cute and roomy. It was the perfect choice for me and my family. Barbara was very easy to work with and responsive. I would recommend this place for a small group looking to kick back and take it easy.

Prime location

Fantastic for our family due to proximity to beach and downtown. Very historic looking home that needs some upgrades. Footed bath tub is difficult to get in and out of - safety issue. Pillows need to be replaced - very flat and uncomfortable. Old outdoor wicker furniture in living room - not comfortable at all.

False Advertising/Do Not Waste Your Money

This took me a week to do this review and i have to say, this place was horrible. filthy dirty, they advertise as 'old' and yes it was, but i have stayed in many beautiful old homes in cape may, this place should be condemned and should be ashamed to even have people stay here. the place was not as advertised at all, lights didn't work, refrigerator never got cold, shower curtain filthy, curtain rod in bathroom broken, beds and pillows smelled of damp old mold, 'so called' bathroom downstairs under a closet with only toilet and sink so small, was like a camper size, NO window NOR vent. My 87 year old mother could not even get into tub upstairs. horrible dripping in attic that kept us all awake all night. We actually vacated the premises the next morning and stayed at local hotel as afraid my mother would fall w lights out. TV in and out, horrible wiring and all of 7 inches. so called couches in LR, old wicker furniture w/flat pillows as cushions. i called VRBO Sunday night to inform, sent them pictures and videos and have to say they were WONDERFUL AND SUPPORTED US 100%. NOT one word from owner until end of week apologizing as not fancy bathrooms that assumed we were used to being New Yorker's, really?? I would NEVER recommend ANYONE stay here! Thank god we got a hotel and had to put out another $3k. this property should be taken off VRBO as terrible representation as VRBO is great and never had this experience with any other rentals we got thru VRBO.

Wonderful Location and Front Porch

Barbara was a pleasure to work with and the property was just as described with the best location so close to the beach and to the downtown mall. The front porch was wonderful, we enjoyed sitting out there everyday and watching the world go by.

Proximity to the beach was great. Very safe neighborhood and great for kids

The communication was great and check in was smooth. The house as mentioned is slightly vintage but everything works as mentioned. We enjoyed our stay and will come back.

great rental!

So close to the beach! This rental has an awesome location, the owner was very helpful with us booking our vacation. This was the second time we have rented this specific home and we will definitely be back again.
