Beautifully Located Wintergreen Resort home in the valley off 151

Relax at our cozy Wintergreen cabin/'modern farmhouse' nestled in a breath-taking valley of the Blue Ridge mountains. If you want all the feel of the Virginia countryside valley area plus access to the mountaintop in minutes, this is the retreat for you. Our well-furnished home is located in a farm-like setting within the Rodes Farm area of Wintergreen resort. We are 2.5 hours from Washington,D.C. and 35 minutes southwest of Charlottesville, Va. There are several areas closer to home as well, including: Waynesboro (20 mins.), Nellysford (3mins.), or Wintergreen's mountaintop(15mins.) These all have stores, groceries, restaurants, and entertainment.

This clean,non-smoking ,private get-away sleeps 6. We also have a twin size air mattress in downstairs bedroom closet if needed for a 7th person. Our home offers a queen-size bed in the Master bedroom (lower-level), A double bed in a lower level bedroom and twin beds in loft. There is a bathroom on each floor. They both have showers. Downstairs has a separate vanity area and bathtub/shower .

Our beautiful cabin is a non-pet home which has been recently updated with a new couch and refrigerator. We have hardy plank exterior walls, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a big dining room table to accommodate a large group which folds down for smaller numbers. Such pieces as our Old Englander wood stove (with year-round supply of firewood) and an old Virginia pie-safe enhance the warm feeling you will find when staying here. Because we want our guests to enjoy their time as long as possible, we offer morning check-ins and late check-outs at no additional charge as long as there are no conflicting reservations around day of arrival/departure.

We love our house during every season. Winter, of course offers skiing/tubing on the mountain, along with cozy fires in wood stove; with spring comes the daffodils and rebirth of greenery and songbirds; summer offers plenty of good times: the neighborhood pool ( walking distance and included in rental)& tennis/ Pickle Ball (walking distance/ included in rental),lake fun (3mins.away and with some extra fees before 6 pm/ not available on Saturdays), Saturday farmer market(awesome),several wineries/vineyards, golf, etc... and last but not least....wonderful autumn with much of the same plus abundant apple orchards, fall colors, and cooler temperatures!
