Peaceful Forest Home - Comfy and Well-equipped

Comfortable, spacious, quiet, well-furnished home just outside of Santa Fe. Whether you're vacationing or working, this house is ideal. Just 20 minutes to the main plaza, and minutes away from beautiful hiking and biking trails. If you're longing for fresh air, peace and quiet, and the friendly, artsy environment of Santa Fe this is the place for you. The owners have thought of just about everything for your comfort and convenience, so all you need to do is make your booking and show up. It’s pet friendly too!

Our home is located in a semi-rural area at approximately 7,200 feet elevation. During the winter, December – March, we INTERMITTENTLY receive snowfall, making access to our home problematic for those without 4-Wheel Drive vehicles or All-Wheel Drive vehicles with all-season tires and good tread. While this is rare, it does happen. Therefore, in the event of forecasted snowfall, we recommend that those with 2-Wheel Drive vehicles or all-wheel without good tires, park their cars on Old Santa Fe Trail on the side of the road. The County maintains this road and sands it when it snows. Please do not block the lane as our neighbors need to get in and out of their homes. Normally, snow melts within a few days and easy access to our home is quickly restored. 4-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive vehicles with all season tires and good tread, shouldn’t have any problems unless there’s a serious blizzard. We also keep chains and a snow shovel handy just in case.

Great place!

We had a great time and were very comfortable. It’s in a very quiet spot and very well stocked with kitchen and bath necessities. We loved the outdoor spaces and peacefulness. There is NO cell service in the immediate area so write down the codes to get in because you may not be able to see the app. Once you get in, connect to WiFi and turn on WiFi calling you can call out no problem. Also, Google maps took us to a completely different house so use Apple Maps.

New Mexico Trip 02/21/2024.

The property was in a great location and very quiet. The house was immaculate and had everything needed for a great getaway. The wood stove is very welcome after a long day of skiing. I would highly recommend this place for a New Mexico trip.

Very peaceful and comfortable

Enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting. Short drive into Santa Fe or Eldorado. Clean and well-appointed with unique, original artwork and decor. Highly recommend!

My wife and I are recently retired. We now dedicate ourselves to our hobbies, grandkids, gardening, and housekeeping. We're thinking of moving into our Santa Fe house but in the meantime we're renting it out.

Why they chose this property

Our main home is in Albuquerque, but we're planning on moving to Santa Fe one of these days. We enjoy the peace and quiet of this home, and the good vibes of Santa Fe.

What makes this property unique

If you're looking for a quite place, where you can either vacation or work from home. This is the place. This house is only 20 minutes from the Plaza and yet sits in a quiet and forested rural area, accessed by Old Santa Fe Trail to the East of Santa Fe. There are only a handful of roads in the area so it is super easy to get to anywhere in Sante Fe. The owners enjoy driving though the village of Canada de los Alamos and up the Forest Road for walking, hiking and biking in close by Santa Fe National Forest. The views are spectacular and one could spend days wandering through the woods.
