Perfect spot for my husband and a few of our friends to get away for the weekend! Great location and central to everything we needed. With 6 of us we had the perfect amount of space in the house. The owners were very prompt in response and accommodating to make sure we had everything we needed.

Cabin on the mountain
This home was awesome! My family had a wonderful short stay, and wished we could have stayed there longer. It was very close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabin was cozy and fairly secluded in the woods, with lots of areas to sit together indoors and outdoors too. We would highly recommend staying at Elkhorn cabin if you visit Asheville!
We loved our stay at the cozy Elkhorn cabin. It had everything we needed! It was close to DT Asheville and the Blueridge Pkwy for hiking. The outdoor seating, the screened in porch was a total value add. We loved the little fireplace when it got chilly. Highly recommend.

Mountain Gem
Great character with ample space across three floors to gather as a family or take quiet breaks. Steep climb up Avondale Ridge road added to the charm, like a stairway to heaven (but say your prayers if its icy!)

Great Stay! great location. Beautiful and peaceful.
Very clean! Comfortable places to relax. Very easy commute to Biltmore and downtown Asheville. No problems at all! Things to know- steep drive and tricky to find at first. Best done in daylight if possible. Serene woody area surroundings. The property was well maintained. We had a great experience!!!!
We had a good stay for the Fourth of July. The location provides very easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville downtown and Biltmore area. Everything was less than 15 minutes drive, and super easy. The only thing to note is the cabin is very creaky - every step makes a creak, both top floor and main floor. Beds could probably use an update due to heavy divots. Otherwise, make time to enjoy the sauna - it's a wonderful experience!

beautiful and cozy home
The home was very cozy and we loved sitting on the back porch watching the sunrise. We did have a hard time finding the home as GPS does not take you to the correct address and the sign's paint is faded so you can't read the home numbers easily from the main road. Also be carful walking up to the front door as one of the stone steps are loose and a few people in our party almost fell. Overall the home is beautiful and the setting is perfect for a getaway.
The cabin was lovely - beautiful design and plenty of room for our family of four. We had fun with the ping pong table and enjoyed the sauna too. Convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. While there's privacy at the house itself, there's definitely more of a 'neighborhood' feel as you drive up to the house than we expected, with a few pretty run-down homes along the way. More road noise than expected as well- from the hilltop, you can hear the highway nearby, as well as I-40 traffic. Decor is comfortable but I'm not a fan of animal heads on walls and didn't notice that in one of the photos, so didn't love that when I arrived. Also there were several religious references in the decor/books left out- that might be a draw for some, but for us it felt heavy-handed. I also didn't realize that the home was being handled by a management company - Vacasa- so we ended up having to pay fees to VRBO and to Vacasa. I'm fairly certain it would be cheaper to book directly through Vacasa (and it looks like the nightly rate is lower on that site too), so would suggest checking that site first before booking here. The price we ended up paying was too high, in my opinion.

Fun cozy mountain nest..
Really was perfect except the sheets on the king size bed in the loft are worn and really need replacing….
Was surprised at all the add on fees considerable raised the base price.
Poor signage directing us to cabin
We had a wonderful Christmas at the cabin!! We wanted some place in the woods but close enough to downtown and this fit the bill. You can hike right out of the front door!
This home was the perfect getaway - Beautiful window views and a cozy cabin all within 10 -15 minutes to everything in Asheville you would want to go and do. We were able to easily accomplish all we hoped for because this location was so convenient! We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace, and the screen porch/deck set up for the surprising 70 degree weather we had one New Years. A terrific visit. We look forward to visiting again!
Great spot for a quick getaway. A couple of things the staff helped us work through during the stay. Staff at turnkey were great in their responsiveness and help.
