Urban Amish

Our family absolutely loved it here. Perfect location on Main to shops and good food. Easy access and plenty of room. Would definitely stay again when in the area! Wonderful host! THANK YOU!

Notre Dame

We took my parents to their first Notre Dame football game. The property is awesome and only 30 mins from the campus. We all really enjoyed the stay!

Great place to stay!

Spacious, updated, nice rooms, very clean, and the owner was great to work with! She even called me after we left to let me know we left something behind that was valuable. Whew! Overall a great stay for my son and me and would highly recommend this for anyone.

Awesome!

We were in town for a wedding and the venue was a 2 minute walk, it was very convenient. Super clean, plenty of room and very nicely decorated. Lots of little shops within walking distance, even had a little wine bar with wine tasting across the street, so much fun!

Lovely Apartment

The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would recommend is have a door code in lieu of a cumbersome door key.

The photos for this listing don’t do this apartment justice. It’s so spacious, clean and nice! We were so happy with our stay. The neighborhood is walkable and the shops below are so cute. We also really appreciated the black out shades-our whole family slept in each morning which was amazing!

Notre Dame Football Game Weekend!

We were very pleased with our stay at Urban Amish in Elkhart IN!. Very spacious! The great room, kitchen, and the two bedrooms each with their own bath were great. The location is good for attending any Notre Dame event. There is a very good cafe a couple minutes walk that we enjoyed a good breakfast at. Nice location!

The property is spacious, open, and very clean. 24 hour free parking is available in the back and three hour parking is available out front. Great for a family. Full kitchen with modern appliances so you can have meals in if desired. It is in the center of town so there is a lot of foot traffic and it can get noisy but not obnoxiously noisy. The owner warns that music from nearby venues can get loud but it wasn’t a problem when I stayed in May, perhaps it’s true in the summer. I really appreciated that the owner April was easy to contact and answered my questions timely. Overall it’s a beautiful property, it felt safe, and it’s a great value for the money.

Clean, modern interior, well lit. Unusual layout but functional. Good location near restaurants, grocery, and shopping. About 30 minutes from Notre Dame. Don't be fooled by exterior appearance, interior is nice. Had trouble finding the unit--couldn't see anything marked 222 1/2. Train noise was loud in rear bedroom.

We are located within walking distance to restaurants (casual & fine dining), the Learner Theater, Midwest Musuem of American Art...; as well as within 30 minutes away to many popular sites like Notre Dame, Shipshewana....

What makes this property unique

This property has a historical significance in Elkhart that includes many past & present businesses from as early as the late1800's. The apartment itself has gone from a 1950's dance studio to a time it was used to conduct business. The hardwoods are the original maple flooring.
