Relaxing mountain cabin with kitchen, laundry, outdoor grill and hot tub. Fenced backyard and dog run. From the elevated front deck, you can sit and watch the wildlife wander through the area and nearby the sounds of the charming Rio Ruidoso can be heard.
The cabin is just one mile from the main town area. There are other cabins in the area but still has a secluded feel and is surrounded by tall pines.
A car or truck will be needed to access the area. The cabin does sit on a hill so driving or walking up can be challenging especially in the winter (4-wheel drive is recommended in the winter). Chains or snow tires may be required during snowfall.

It’s was a lovely cabin home, nice hot tub and everything was great. Close to town to sigh see and cozy to watch movies with the fire place on at night. Loved it would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get away for a little
One of the most beautiful cozy cabins we have ever stayed at!! we were able to bring our pet dog healer!! she’s pretty old, but she really enjoyed the stay here!! The place is clean. The beds are comfortable. And the host is very attentive. highly recommend!!
We had such a great time at the lazy dog lodge! Everything was perfect! We had everything thing we needed. In the kitchen, literally everything we needed to make everything we wanted during our stay. The fireplace was SO COZY! All the pet stuff that was there available to us to use. The yard was perfect for the dogs. The games were a wonderful touch. There is not a single thing we did not like from our stay. We will be back!!!
An older but well-loved property, this A frame was more than we needed. It was pet friendly, with a nice side yard for dogs. The kitchen was well-equipped. It wasn’t fancy, but was clean and comfortable. It did have a circular staircase to the master bedroom that might give older folks some trouble. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the wildlife.
We had a great time and the Cabin was perfect. It was much nicer in person then the photos posted on website. It was beautiful and in a great location. The cabin included everything we needed and extras from disinfectant cleaning supplies, shampoo, body wash, and extra toilet paper and napkins. The host was also great at replying when we had any questions. I definitely recommend this place to stay and we will be coming back soon.
My family and I went for Good Friday we had a great time the owner of the cabin was very nice he answered all my questions the cabin was clean and nice

About the host
Hosted by Wallace Stanley
My wife and I love exploring new places. Hiking, camping, and skiing are some of our favorites ways to unwind.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is a great bargain between being close enough to all of the hot spots in Ruidoso but being just far enough to feel like you are in nature. Although we have neighbors, there is still a sense of privacy. Our house has everything you need for short stays, but is also well suited to accommodate longer stays.
What makes this property unique
My wife and I both personally host our cabin and pride ourselves treating you as a welcome guest in our home. We are available as much or little as you need during your stay.
