The secret agent in all of us loves a good covert mission! Donning her coolest sunglasses and moving into stealth mode, Pinkie Flamingo set off one fine Spring day to uncover the best kept secret at The Islander in Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. Famous for its pristine, uncrowded beaches, height restrictions on Okaloosa Island work wonders at keeping the crowds down. Pinkie easily navigated down Santa Rosa Blvd to The Islander, passing restaurants and resorts all along the way. This family-friendly vacation zone was known only to those wise enough to have cracked the code on a great vacation value.

Rumor had it that there was an exceptionally remarkable, Gulf-front condo somewhere at The Islander that would prove to be a huge vacation coup for many travelers if only Pinkie could identify it and make its location known. With no time to lose, Pinkie traversed the halls of the Gulf-front resort…peeking into condos all along the way yet not finding “the one” until she approached #7007. “Something about this seems straight out of a James Bond movie,” thought Pinkie. “This must be it!

Stepping inside it was clear the target had been acquired. Dazzling views of the sparkling emerald green water could be seen from any vantage point. The fresh coastal décor was just enough to set the mood for a relaxed beach vibe without being overdone. Spacious with wood-toned flooring throughout, the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit can easily sleep 6. The fully-stocked kitchen stands ready to host memorable family meals while the private balcony offers expanded living space and a lofty spot to perch. It suddenly occurred to Pinkie…”This is the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing martini…shaken not stirred of course”.

The deliverable continues with a seasonally-heated community pool, charcoal BBQ grill area, fitness center, shuffleboard court, elevators and a boardwalk for easy beach access. Be sure to visit the Fishing Pier, newly remodeled Gulfarium, restaurants and shops of the Boardwalk. Drive 10 minutes to Destin, voted 'Best Beach Town' by Southern Living Magazine readers! Summer Getaway

We would definitely stay here again! It's far enough down the beach to limit crowding, but close enough to run errands and eat out. Love that the beach chairs come with the room. Very Clean! We loved our stay!

Beach relax vacation

The island is beautiful, beach and area very quiet. Unit was very nice, and folks in building were very nice. However, some of the furniture needs to be replaced, couch and mattress on King bed.

Such a wonderful visit!!

The condo, the beach, the locals - I cannot say enough great things out our stay. The view from this condo is simply amazing - we were able to watch the wild dolphin cruising up the coast each morning just after sunrise and the waves were so soothing. The cleanliness of the unit was a 10/10, it was thoughtfully stocked with starter paper products and toiletries so that we didn’t have to go shopping the moment we settled in and the decor is lovely! I hope this same unit is available when I am able to return!!

Wish we could've stayed longer

Property listing was spot on. The condo is in a great location, beach access was super easy. Unit was well-equipped with everything we needed. The only item that could've made it better would be an air fryer (but we also could've brought one from home. :-)) The only issue we had is the TV in the master bedroom would turn on, but no channels or streaming devices worked. We're already looking at dates to plan a longer trip in Destin/Ft. Walton and we'll definitely check Pink Flamingo out again!

Quiet Get Away

Enjoyed the quietness and feeling of privacy of the Islander building. Our Place was exactly as pictured: clean, updated & beautifully decorated. The beach chair service was a nice bonus and the beach itself was not as crowded or over run as other areas down the way. Bed were very comfortable. Would definitely return here. Super grateful for including a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for those of us with older eyes. Ha!

Great place. In a great location.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We went during the 4th july and cannot ask for a better spot. The beach was wonderful and not as crowded as you would think for the 4th of July. We were in a great spot to watch the fireworks from all around the coast.You are close to alot of stuff to do and see . We did everything we wanted, and it wasn't more than like 15 minutes away. Restaurants, go carts, putt-putt, aquarium, and aviation museum. The view of the Gulf and Beach was the best we have done so far. We had a few minor things like the dining room light wouldn't come on, but they fixed the switch quickly and were very awesome in the process. Rudy the gentleman who fixed it was great. You cannot ask for a better place in our opion. We will definitely be looking at staying there again.

We had a wonderful experience but we had looked over this listing several times to make sure nothing was said about no smoking on the balcony and there was nothing in the description that stated that. After we paid in full and a week before our vacation we got the "rules" and that was one of them. We would have never stayed at this listing had it been specified. The condo is absolutely beautiful and the couch is great for naps. The view is unbeatable. The decor is great and welcoming.

Amazing Place, Amazing Views

We go to Destin Florida every June for buisness and pleasure. We have stayed at several places and just haven't found the perfect place until now. The location, decor, great kitchen set up, beach chairs, beach towels, tv's in all rooms and the amazing balcony for the wonderful sunrise, sunsets, views...... You can't go wrong with this place. We will be booking this place again next year.

Best Vacation Ever

Everyday our kids woke up and looked out the balcony and exclaimed “this is the best day ever!”. Our room was clean and updated. The ocean front view was amazing. The emerald waters and white sand were the highlight of our trip. It truly was the best vacation to Destin we have ever had. 10 out 10 Would Reccomend!

The condo is exactly as described in the listing. We LOVED staying here as the beaches and restaurants weren't nearly as crowded as Destin and PCB. The beach chairs provided are definitely a plus. Would definitely stay here again.
