My husband and I had a great weekend stay! The location was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop for breakfast and then took our bikes down the beautiful Shining Sea Trail to Woods Hole for the day. We did not need to drive at all. Listing was accurate, and check in was easy. Shared bathroom was well managed. The hosts were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed.

Thank you ! So nice meeting you both ! Please keep in touch !
Great location, for a home base while vacationing on the Cape. The host provided great recommendations and tips on the best places foe drinks, meals and little gettaways to Marthas Vineyard.
We stayed at Joy’s while visiting family close by. We enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood, the charming green backyard, and above all Joy’s hospitality. Very comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom and a well equipped bathroom.
Stayed here while working a job nearby. With short notice, I booked the cheapest place around, worrying if I should have payed extra for a hotel. It was worth it. Convenient location, better and cheaper than a hotel, and avoided lots of traffic on the way into work. I would stay here again if I ever work in Cape Cod again.

Thank you for choosing my place to stay at ! Glad you enjoyed your trip !
I enjoyed staying at Joy's place. She is a lovely host and very attentive. Space is adequate. One room in basement with private bathroom at top of stairs. About a 20 minute drive to Falmouth Heights.
I hope to stay again next year. Many
thanks.

Room was in basement and smelled badly like mold, my girlfriend was sick with headache from it. Towels are stored in basement and smell like mold. There is a leaking pipe above your head as you enter your basement room. Just picture grandma placing a king size bed with hello kitty sheets and makeshift wall around it in the middle of basement and a curtain to hide all her junk.

I am sorry I could not accommodate you for the day you wanted and cancel your reservation like you requested. (It was booked already)
Sounds like you were not a happy camper from the beginning??
As far as the junk behind the curtain - I don't know why you looked behind there but we are in the middle of merging two households so I have more stuff than usual. It's our personal storage - not part of the Airbnb.
I wish you well and hopefully next time you have a better experience.
The fact that the bedroom was in the basement area so my 97 year old husband and myself 84 years old had to climb up a set of stairs every time we wanted to use the bathroom. I think the hostess, who was very kind, realized how poorly suited the accomadations were for us, She let us use her main entrance to get into the house, otherwise we would have had to go around to the back yard to access entrance to the basement.
This is advertised as a private bedroom but it is the basement of the house with a sheet on a clothesline closing off a piece of it with a bed in it. Very steep stairs up to bathroom would be very difficult to maneuver in the middle of the night!! I want my money back. Door was unlocked when I got there with lights on and a battobe and other clothing hanging in the corner like someone was there. I didn't stay. I got scared

I waited hours for you to show up and left the door unlocked for your convenience so you would not have to fiddle with the lock- and I left outside light on for you.
If you read the note on the desk, you would see the cloths were new and you could take something if it suited you. There were 4 items hanging up.
Sorry you did not like your stay however the description is very clear and accurate.
All the doors in your unit locks , including the bathroom. Too bad you did not try it- it is a very safe family house and neighborhood. You could have knocked on my door to discuss. It has now been over a month past your stay. The room is completely walled in with locks - the curtain is outside your locked room to block off my laundry ...

This too expensive property should not be listed as a place to stay
There were cement blocks to walk down to get to the access door with no hand rail…very dangerous. It was cold. I was not aware that to go to the toilet I had to walk up a steep back stairs. There was no soap. Is that usual? I was very tired and went to bed very early. I feel asleep but because there is a water heater in the room which makes a very loud ticking noise I was awaken and couldn’t get back to sleep. After 3 house of being awake, I left at 2 in the morning with 2 hours of sleep and having to drive 3 1/2 hours home. Not choice. Plus there was an outside light that kept coming on which besides the various lights in the room made it too light. I didn’t even need to turn lights on the get dressed to leave.

I am sorry you had an unpleasant stay. There is soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. Sorry you missed it. All the lights in the bedroom have their own switch so i do not understand why it was bright in the room unless you did not see the switch on the wall to turn the light off or the switches on the light themselves? The room has its own heat so it should never be cold inside the room- as for the outside tempature, I cannot control that. The steps leading to the bathroom are normal size stairs with a handrail - they are not in the back of the house but the center of the house that lead to the bathroom. I wish you knocked on my door to address all. I waited up to welcome you and make sure everything was satisfactory , however I never saw you come inside. I left the back door open for your convenience. I hope you enjoy your stay elsewhere next time. Best regards
