Everything about our week long stay at Coconut Beach House was perfect. The house is ideally situated to take in the views, the beach and the breeze. We listened to the ocean every night as we went to bed. The house is well equipped and has plenty of room for gathering together or lounging on the amazing screen porch. The gardens are beautiful as well. This is a wonderful retreat for people who want to be off the beaten path.
This house has everything you need and more. The beach was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Second trip to Coconut Beach House
We have been vacationing in the Abacos for 30 years, and have stayed on Green Turtle a dozen times. This was our second stay at the Coconut Beach House. It is the best vacation rental we have found! The location is amazing: quiet, peaceful, inviting, close to the beaches. Eli and Di are terrific, easy to work with and accommodating. We will return!

We are very glad to have returning renters. This shows to us that we are doing something right. Starting with the perfect rental location helps. We look forward to hosting you again sometime. Thank you so much for continuing to rent from us. Eli and Di
Our stay at CBH was great from the start. We met Jennifer at the dock and she drove us to the house and explained everything about the island and then went into very detailed information about the house we rented to make sure our trip and stay at CBH was as comfortable as home. Will definitely rent this beautiful house again. My husband and I feel the location is the best spot on the island.

Thank you for renting Coconut beach House. It is undoubtedly the best, most secluded location on Green Turtle. We have 1 acre of property that is directly on the ocean surrounded by 18 acres of vacant land. You definitely feel like you are on a deserted island. With the exception of 2 rooftops you only see nature. Ocean, sand and tropical plants are your neighbors.
Hope to have you as our guests again sometime.
Thank you.

I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful property! We had such a wonderful family trip for my parents’ 70th and my youngest daughter’s first birthday. We felt like we had the island all to ourselves when we were on the property. The beach is beautiful and the property gardens are so well maintained. The artwork all over the house makes this place unforgettable and so special. We really loved being there and can’t wait to come back!
Dear Mark, We are sorry repairman was unable to fix the master bedroom a/c when it failed during your stay. The other 3 units were working properly. We were able to order new a/c and have it installed the day after you left. We do not ignore maintenance issues. We are also sorry you couldn’t stay longer as you requested on the last day. The beach house was reserved and simply not available. We really feel that 2 stars you awarded us in unwarranted. We agree with our previous guests that Green Turtle Cay and Coconut Beach House is a special place.

Coconut Beach House, Green Turtle Cay
This house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, very private and quiet. You can feel the breezes from every room. The beds have memory foam mattresses and are so comfortable. The white sandy beach is right out from your front door. The folks who took us to the house showed us everything we needed to know and the property is well maintained. If you're looking for relaxation, quiet, and comfort, you need to rent this home.

This is a quiet secluded location for your well deserved get away and we are so glad you came. The conveniences and guest comforts are one of our main focuses. Thank you for being our guests and we hope to see you again. Eli and Di
Della and house owner were amazing! Both accommodating and accessible. We enjoyed the house. Very clean. Screened porch to enjoy the ocean breeze was relaxing. Boat dock was a plus. Only cons were the no see ums and the road to house is super bumpy for a golf cart. Made going to town a chore! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Thank you Olivia for your comments. You are correct about the road to our house. It is an unpaved Island road and you need to remember to drive slow and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. Unfortunately golf carts are the only mode of transportation you can rent on the Green Turtle other than boats!
The no-see-ums can be bad in the mornings and evenings at certain times of year. The patios and windows are entirely screened (front and back) with no-see-um screening but they make thier way in anyway or through the doors when you enter and leave.
We hope to have you as our guests again sometime.

Great House. Great Location. Great Hosts.
The house sits up on a bluff and has a commanding 270 degree view of the Ocean. And it takes full advantage of the setting with its multiple sets of french doors that open onto a wrap-around screened lanai. We never shut the doors after the first day and just let the ocean breezes and sounds fill the house 24/7 (we only closed the bedroom doors at night to run the AC for sleeping). The house is clean, spacious and well furnished. It was really nice having the ocean and a beautiful beach on one side and a dock where we could keep our boat on the other; it's really the best of both worlds. The owners, Eli and Di were gracious and extremely helpful in answering any questions we had and they are also very organized--they had someone waiting for us at the ferry dock upon arrival and we were in our golf cart and on our way in no time. They also gave us tips on when to catch the ferry to make our return flight and other helpful information. If you are planning a visit to Green Turtle Cay, book this house if it's available. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you for the wonderful review. You have described us and our house perfectly. We strive to make your arrival and stay as mindless as possible. We have a fabulous Island team in place to help with anything you might need durring your stay on Green Turtle. The greet you at the dock when you arrive, help with your luggage and escort you to the house. When it is time to depart they will come and pick-up your luggage and return you to the dock unless other arrangements have been made.
We have added A/C in the bedrooms this year. The A/C is not meant to cool the entire house, we still like opening the 23 French doors to take advantage of the high elevation overlooking the Ocean allowing the sounds and cool breezes to blow through.
We look forward to having you as our guests again. Thank you, Eli and Di
This house and property are so unique. You have to take a pretty bumpy road to get there, but it's worth the effort. The grounds and view are lovely, and you can easily swim or walk to a couple of awesome snorkeling spots. The house itself is well–appointed, clean and very comfortable. There are lots of spots both indoor and outdoor to cozy up and read a book or just enjoy the view. There are also lots of extras, like indoor and outdoor games to play and lots of fun quirky decorations throughout the house to look at. The kitchen had everything we needed, including an air fryer which really comes in handy with all of the leftover fried food you get on the island. We had five adults, and we all agreed that's probably the maximum you would want in the house –mainly because the two guest rooms have to share a bathroom, and that can get pretty crowded. Next time we'll probably just leave one bedroom open. Overall we loved our stay and can't wait to come back. We've been coming to GTC for over 10 years and this quickly became one of our favorites. Kudos to the owners for making it so cozy and welcoming!
We spent 6 nights at this island oasis at the north end of GTC. The house itself was in excellent condition and we had no issues with the AC or electricity while there. The views are amazing and the location is ideal for those wanting privacy. It’s an adventurous golf cart ride from the Green Turtle Club down a precarious “road”, but the drive is well worth the effort as you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful home with manicured grounds and your own private beach. The boat dock is only a few minute golf cart ride away on the Coco Bay side and easily accommodated our 26 foot boat, although be aware that the channel to the dock gets VERY shallow during low tide. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the yard and sharing dinners at the large table each night in this spectacular home. Like any place in the islands, there were a fair number of spiders who also resided at the house, but they were no issue for our crew. Despite it’s distance from town, the golf cart ride really wasn’t too long and had lots of interesting views along the way. We highly recommend an afternoon at Pineapples, Sid’s Groceries for supplies, diving with Brendal’s Dive Shop and the breakfast or lunch at the New Plymouth Liquor Store (it’s actually very reasonable and delicious). Overall the house exceeded our expectations and was the ideal spot for us to snorkel the reefs, head out spearfishing or lobstering from our boat, head to Manjack to feed the stingrays or visit the swimming pigs at Big O’s.
We loved this place. If you have an eye for detail you're going to notice that this property has been optimized to such a degree that you can tell it has been honed everywhere.Lots of space inside and out. Huge wraparound deck. Sitting area and an easy path to the beach on the ocean side. You're also a quick few minutes over to the dock area, which is on the inside, and from which there is a little beach area, from which you can walk in either direction for more beach or wade out into the flats. We kept finding ourselves here to catch the Sunsets and I was out in the mornings tossing the fly rod around trying to score a bonefish or two. Loved it.I'm going to address the road in, as I see others commenting on it. It is pretty rough, but we had no problems with it, did it in the dark a few times, no problem. I guess for us, we wanted a remote location and this is it. We also came to the Abacos originally for some sense of adventure and that still drives us, or maybe we'd be on Grand Bahama or some other anthill of tourism. No regrets on our choice.I'd plan 30 minutes to get to the Green Turtle Club and 40ish to town. We had no issues, took our time, understood that the price of going to a remote location on a remote island is that your 2 lane highways are in the rearview, and planned accordingly. It's probably a good idea send a list ahead and to have the place stocked for you. Other than that, which I thought about but didn't do, (my fault), we loved it.

Top notch relaxing vacation spot
This property is very private and has everything you would every need....beds were spectacutar, seating at every angle w/ wonderful ocean views, golf cart rides were fun and adventurous...top notch relaxing vacation!....when we arrived our flights had been delayed and we came in around 9:30pm. The care takers were waiting for us (including the boat taxi). The people on this island are very friendly and so helpful. We had spectacular weather, rented a boat through Donny's Boat Rentals (super great experience), fished with Lincoln and just enjoyed the Sun and Sand. The beach connected to this house is basically your private beach...there are rocks on both ends which somewhat discourage other beach walkers (unless they have shoes) to come to the beach near the house. We saw a 4 foot shark, lobster, 2 dolphins, turtles, an octopus at low tide and various fish. The islands have the best sand and water we have ever experienced - including Hawaii! We very much enjoyed walking on the cocoa beach side (by the boat dock) at low tide.....fished off the pier during high tide and caught yellow tail....saw baracuda, a tarpin, tons of Star Fish, Conch ..... its all there you just have to do a little . We ran every morning and really got to see the island.....took a boat to Teasure Island, Noname and Pellican for snorkling....so much to see and do if you like the water and sand. All in all would love to rent this home again.....Fabulous Layout for Vacationing with children! Go Bucky!

I want to rent this house after reading this review. You have described our little corner of paradise perfectly. There is so much to do in and around Green Turtle, you might run out of time. This is the perfect place for the person who can make a “not so smooth” golf cart ride into an adventure; who thinks a deserted beach or Island is a must do; the person who likes to lulled to sleep by the Ocean and won’t miss the sound of traffic. Coconut beach house has everything you need for an adventurous or relaxing vacation. Whatever is on your bucket list… the Bahamas should be near the top.
Thank you very much for renting from us and taking your time to submit this wonderful review.
We hope to have you as our guests again sometime… when you need to GET AWAY!

The Coconut Beach House is breathtaking! The views of the water from every room, cannot be put into words. The location of this house is out of the way from town and does take time to get to ,but all very worth it once you get there. The dock on the Sea of Abaco side is very accessible. The shelling on that side is a lot of fun. We walked around the the Island at low tide where the Atlantic and Sea of Abaco meet , which also brings you right in front of the house.
This was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the low season on Green Turtle Cay. Our family had a great time just hanging out and spending time together, even though the weather was not too cooperative for sunbathing and or boating, we still had a great time. Eli and Diane thought of everything to make our stay just wonderful.
The people who live on the island are warm and gracious from the moment you get off the ferry.
Carol Jean, Mark and MJ from Kool Karts are the best!! We had great dinners at Harvey's and the last night at the Green Turtle Club. The "Tipsy Turtle"is a must when you go.
Don't miss a trip to Sundowners to hang with the locals. They will all make you feel like you are Bahamian before you know it!
The Island is quiet at this time of year, and many local establishments are closed, but we had a fantastic time . I now feel like we have made friends with the residents of Green Turtle Cay. My daughter and I are going to bake Bahama Bread with Carol Jean the next time we visit!!
We have already started making plans to go back.
Thank you Eli and Dianne for having such a special place for us to call "home" for a week.!!

Many thanks to you for your kind words about our house and our little Island, it truly is breathtaking! The people really do make the difference from other Tropical destinations, they try to make you feel comfortable and expect nothing in return. We look forward to seeing you next June and helping you plan another memorable vacation at Coconut Beach House. Eli and Di
A lovely house on a beautiful site. The views of the ocean are awe-inspiring and it was a wonderful space to spend Christmas with the family. On top of that, an idyllic beach is just steps from the back door. It merits being a high-end rental.
We did encounter issues during our stay, however. Hence 4 stars. The washing machine broke a few days into our stay. The caretaker did her best to get it fixed, but she had to order the part and the repairman had to fly in. Being on a remote island during the holidays slowed this down, and the repair didn’t get done. This was a serious inconvenience, as we had to wash clothes by hand.
Also, the coffee maker stopped working. And you could smell the septic system in the master bathroom, which was gross.
Another note: The home sits at the end of a long and very bumpy road traveled by golf cart (the primary means of transport here). We’re familiar with the island, so we knew what we were getting into, but it turned out to be more of a drawback than anticipated. Initially, the road was an adventure and a callback to the way Green Turtle used to be. By the end of the stay, it was a PITA. It affected our activities. On New Year’s Eve, for example, we ended up staying home because no one wanted to deal with the road. It was especially hard on my elderly parents. If we stay again, we would likely rent a boat for our entire stay. This would make it easier to get around the island, but it still wouldn’t solve the problem of traveling at night.

Peter,
First of all, let us apologize again for the problems you encountered. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Your comments are appreciated. We will address all of your concerns.
You are correct that Coconut Beach House is a lovely house on a beautiful site and a boat rental is a good idea.
The less than 1-mile golf cart ride from paved road to our home provides privacy, beauty, adventure and some bumps as well as absolute seclusion at its end. The road at night under tree canopy can be dark and bumpy. The night sky at the end without light pollution is one of the rewards when you get to Coconut Beach House.
Thank you for renting from us.
We look forward to your return.

Even better than the pictures!
There is nothing we could write in this review that would do the property justice. When we first walked in, we were speechless. It was actually EVEN BETTER than the pictures!! The owners were great to work with and even communicated with us via email. The house was impeccably clean when we arrived.
The house is surrounded by a screen porch which is where you will spend your time...the two smaller bedrooms are well appointed and seperate from the master so you have some privacy even if sharing the home. We only traveled as a couple and the seclusion of the home, including the handy driveway alarm, was just what we needed for an anniversary trip. The Master Bedroom is huge, with a large walk in closet, desk, four poster bed and additional seating area.
If you desire seclusion, great views and peace but with ALL the comforts of home, this is the property for you. The lovely decorating and furnishings are the cherry on top.
We kept a boat at the dock for the week. We got several good laughs from the incredibly bumpy road to the home and to the dock and in toward the Green Turtle Club. At times we had fins flying out, bags jumping and drinks spilling, ...but it was part of the fun. If this is a problem for you, then you may want to stay closer to town where things are more paved. We found that we went everywhere by boat, as it was much easier. We rented from Sunset Marine and Adam Cash was extremely efficient and reliable. Our golf cart came with the house and is supplied by Kook Karts. Mark was very helpful and we were very pleased with the cart and service.
In closing: when I return to GTC, this is the ONLY property I would stay at again. After touring the whole island, this is probably the BEST place there is. Don't hesitate and contact Di and Eli and book it NOW.

What a spectacular review. We are so glad you enjoyed our little part of heaven. We could not describe it any better. Thank you so much for sharing your drone photos of our path to the beach; it was just like we were there with you on that day. We wish we could meet all of our clients personally, as everyone seems so nice, but if we did that we would not be able to share our home with anyone! We are glad you selected us for your anniversary vacation and we truly hope to have you as our guests in the future.

The view is amazing and beach very close. Sunrises are fantastic. The house is both stylish and comfortable. The owners were very responsive. The only drawback was the very bumpy 10 minute golf cart ride from the paved road to the house. Green Turtle has a lot to offer with restaurants and grocery stores.
This home is lovely… spacious, secluded, well-appointed and the essence of the Bahamas. The dock on the sea of anaconda is breath taking. You can spend an entire day there just laying on the beach and snorkeling. We stayed at the house with our kids and in laws, a total of 6 people and it was more than enough space. The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The only down side is it is far from town and we were there with other families so it took a long time on a very rough road to meet up with others. The day we were leaving, the power went out and the generator never kicked in- we made a big point to find a home with a generator for this instance.
We had a great time, and the views are unbelievable! The owners are great and full of info if you need anything, just ask! The house manager is so friendly and helpful, and is on top of anything you might need. Thanks for sharing this fabulous home!
We had a wonderful time at Coconut Beach House on GTC. The home was in great condition and set up perfectly for our family, including our dog, who's new nickname is Bahama Benny. He loved taking the short walk to the beach as much as the rest of the family. The property manager, Della, was great to work with and always available. We'll definitely be back!
Eli and Dianne live in the mountains of Colorado in the winter where Eli owns a ski rental shop. We purchased this house in 2007 and plan on retiring to Green Turtle someday. This is our dream come true and we would like to share it with you. At least for now!
Why they chose this property
We have traveled the World and find this part of the Bahamas the Best-of-the-Best: quiet, safe, friendly, warm, English speaking and fun. Dollar for dollar exchange rate and US currency is accepted.
What makes this property unique
Serenity, Views, Ocean Sounds, Views, Quite, did I say Views? You will love it here as much as we do and not want to leave. We would suggest a minimum stay of 10 days or as long as you can. You seem to just arrive and already you have to do a count down to departure.
