2Bd/1Ba, Lake/Riverview Condo; discounts for longer stays

Pool is officially closed for the 2023 season, but it is typically reopened on Memorial Day.

The Clinton Reef Club is a great place to stay when visiting the Lake Erie Shores. The condo complex is a short drive from downtown Port Clinton and about a 15-minute walk along the lake on a nice day. The neighbors are friendly people, but since it is a condo, we ask that you please respect their privacy and the established quiet hours. Port Clinton has several great restaurants to choose from, but the unit has a full kitchen and cooking utensils, so you can eat-in if you prefer. The condo complex has a pool, sauna, and hot tub, but the pool doesn’t open until Memorial Day weekend. We do NOT have cable TV, but we do have YouTube TV, where you can watch live television. Kids will be happy to know that we have Disney+ and Hulu.

The condo is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so prepare yourself for some exercise. The complex has a community pool, hot tub, and sauna. Pool bracelets must be worn and unfortunately lost bracelets are $25/each. The laminate flooring in the bedrooms, living room, and hallway are brand new (2022). We have smart TV’s in the living and master bedroom. There are also private balconies off the living and master bedroom. We sincerely hope you enjoy the condo as much as we do.

We took our granddaughters to see the lake some lighthouses and the animal Safari, they had a great time. We were lucky enough to be at Marblehead lighthouse when they were releasing an eagle into the wild.

Lake Erie get away

Over all, this is a great property. It was clean, quiet, and nicely furnished. Management checked in with us upon our arrival to make sure everything was good. Nice pool area. The public beach, Jet Express, and plenty of dining options are just a short drive away. Our only negative would be that the master bedroom matress could use a refresh. It was lumpy and rolled to the center of the bed. Minor problem, but it prevented a 5 star review.

We stayed in April with an exceptionally warm weekend and were able to enjoy the porches. I mistakenly thought I had the condo two nights and the owner handled it very well and we got to meet Latoya who was a wonderful lady - even though we messed up her schedule she was delightful - we hope to be back for longer next time - lol.

John was an excellent host and his property was exactly as pictured. The property was clean, comfortable and came with lots of little touches that made a big difference. The kitchen was well stocked with extras to make things easier in case we forgot something. There were even extra toothbrushes and toiletries in case something was overlooked when packing. I will definitely look for availability at this property if I return to Port Clinton.

Why they chose this property

Our condo has a great location. Located between Lake Erie and the Portage River. If you have a boat, you can be on Lake Erie in minutes. The 30’ dock has electric and water hook-ups and a lockable storage box. We absolutely welcome fishermen, and we wish there were facilities available to clean fish, but there isn’t. That said, there are areas nearby where you can clean or pay to have your fish cleaned. Please do not clean fish at the condo complex or in the condo. The last thing we want to do is charge extra cleaning fees to remove fish odors and/or remnants. We greatly appreciate your understanding.

What makes this property unique

The condo complex also has a heated pool, hot tub, and sauna. Orange wrist bands must be worn in these areas, but it is an awesome place to hang out on a summer day. The area also has propane grills, a fire pit, and a deck/patio area where people like to spend time with family, friends, and fellow travelers.
