Great place-I highly recommend staying here if you want to feel safe, comfortable, and right at home! The hosts were very attentive, kind and courteous.
Unfortunately due to job loss, I had to check out early, but 3 days is not enough time to spend in Modesto. The property is amazing and great location to see it all! Definitely would recommend for work placement or a weekly stay!!

We were disappointed Steven's job opportunity didn't go as planned. However, Steven was a great guest. He was friendly and communicated well with us. He left the place clean and in great order. We hope things go very well for him and wish him the best of luck. Things will go well for him soon we are sure. We would be happy to have him as a guest again.
This was a very clean comfortable cozy quiet home with a awesome shower and sauna area. The place was super clean and cute. I would definitely recommend this space. It was roomy and very welcoming
We enjoyed our stay in Modesto in this Studio Cabinlike Apartment, our hosts were always accommodating and very friendly leaving us feeling very welcome. We enjoyed walking down to the farmers market and were close to our son who lives with his family in a nearby town. The overall stay was great and we hope to be back!
We very enjoin our stay with this house. Owner check in with you to make sure you have what you need . Good communication when need it. Will stay again when come back Modesto .
This is a great place for renewal. It is safe and secure with wonderful touches of nature to give off a cozy feel in the woods. Beautiful skylight and high windows let the sun stream in every morning. Pine cones, greenery, waterfall curtains, and wall art of great outdoors add to the charm. Friendly hosts are available for your needs, and to make your stay even more enjoyable. Price is terrific for full kitchen, living room with BIG screen TV, and an amazing curved shower/bath with vaulted ceiling 'near the treetops.' Welcome to your world!

Strange bathroom set-up
This unit had the strangest bathroom arrangement I've ever seen. Shower, sink and toilet were all in different rooms. The shower didn't drain and it was in an old triangular tub that had a 2 foot high, 10" wide wall that you had to climb over to get in. The owner responded to our complaint that it didn't drain, came over and told us that this is the way it's supposed to function...that because it was California, we would have to tamp down the water pressure to a trickle...that environmental concerns dictated we do so. We stayed in another of his units 5 days later and used the shower at full tilt water pressure with no drainage problem. Unit was a one-room, studio set-up and was cramped. The couch made into a bed which my son told us was comfortable. The host also treated us to a MAGA rant which was not appreciated.

We are addressing this bad review until now because we didn’t realize a guest had given us this undeserving review.
Not sure why this guest was surprised that the unit was a studio style. It is indicated on the listing information. Actually the shower is one of the most loved features mentioned by many of our guests. There are photos of the bathroom set up in the listing as well. We list many photos and give descriptions so that a guest knows what to expect. There is also the option of asking any questions before arrival. We are very responsive hosts.
Her complaint about the shower was addressed promptly and no drainage problems were found. Sometimes guests move shower settings unintentionally. California does dictate water flow shower heads , depends on what year they were purchased.
Guests many times don’t want a hotel room because our place offers a ton more than a hotel room, for an extremely affordable price. However, some guests still find things to complain about, sadly for the first time apparently even a conversation that they may have initiated or engaged in and clearly misunderstood. The beauty of travel and of meeting new people is to see other perspectives ; to see how others live. We value our guests and have met wonderful people over our years of hospitality. We are appreciative and respectful of our guests. When they want to socialize with us we will do so.
We have been deemed Superhosts
for years by the busier sites that this unit is listed on. We focus on our guests and on hospitality. Sometimes a guest’s priority is price and often make the mistake of not booking a larger more adequate unit for their group, which we have those options.
We suggest, going forward, that guests review photos and descriptions and ask any questions before the booking process. Even then, some guests may be better served in a hotel setting. When we open our homes, all listings are different and unique. It is possible guests will meet new people. For some guests, it may be more reasonable to opt for the traditional hotel room. Not all guests can appreciate the concept of hosting our homes.
The place was clean and comfortable. It is a house that has essentially been divided into suites. Walking in the entrance down the hallway, you reach the bed first with the kitchen, dining and sofa off to the left at the end of the bed. Owners were very responsive.
