UNIT HAD NO POWER
We arrived late on date of arrival due to a late inbound flight from Houston. Upon arrival the check in process was easy but once we went into the unit at approx 11:15pm we were frustrated to find out there was no power in our condo. I was able to contact someone who advised me they would send someone to inspect the unit. He did arrive around 30 minutes later and confirmed the power was shut off in our unit only and at midnight we had to move all of our luggage to a different unit. We lost our third-floor ocean front view and were moved to a first-floor unit instead. The maintenance worker told us it looked like the owner did not pay the power bill and we should be given some sort of compensation for such an inconvenience. We were very frustrated and exhausted to have to move to a property that was not the one we signed a contract for because the power was turned off. I would like to be contacted by the property owner to discuss the failure on their part to provide us with the accommodations we signed a contract for. I believe we should be compensated in some manner for the incredible circumstances regarding the lack of power in our unit and having to move to another property so late in the evening. It was frustrating and completely unprofessional of the property owner to not only neglect renting a unit without power, but to not reach out to us at all with an apology or any sort of discount/compensation for such a failure to provide the services we paid for.
