Our stay at One Old Oak was very comfortable. The hosts provided clear and prompt information for our stay. The location is fantastic for trips to Austin or in to Bastrop for shopping/dining. The house had everything we needed for a getaway. It was nice to enjoy the peace and quiet back at the house after our busy days in Austin.Totally recommend!
Plenty of room for our family to enjoy time with my mother who is battling cancer. Away from the highway so we were able to sleep. Comfortable beds, too. We'd stay again and will recommend!
Communication with host was great…quick response to every inquiry. Had one maintenance issue that was tended to promptly. The house was just as described and clean. Beds were very comfortable. I would stay again if in the area.
We had a great experience. The house was clean and just as described. It was very homey and had all the necessities and close to town. The owners were helpfulAnd quick to respond.
It was a great place for our family. 4 adults stayed in the home and four other adult family members visited during the day. We needed the space this house provided.

I am glad you had a great time, we hope to host you and your group again in the future.
We stayed for a short weekend for a competition in the area. The house was easily accessible, close to everything and had lots of room. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very communicative as well.
I was in the process of downsizing & moving from my home of 28 years into a rental 1/3 the size. Staying at this property calmed my heart, body & nerves making it possible to enter this transition period of my life with ease & grace. This property is spectacular!
Beautiful property. Plenty of amenities. Far enough to leave the city behind, but close enough to still get things done. This was the perfect space to share Christmas with my family and the host(s) were helpful and attentive. A time we will never forget.

We are so happy you enjoyed our property, we had many enjoyable family gatherings there, and I'm glad to see other families enjoy the place as much as we did.
We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse! We had everything we needed and more in the house. My dogs were very happy to have a backyard to run around in. Even though it’s not completely fenced we did t worry much because the other homes were a good decent distance from us. We enjoyed the city of Bastrop and were only a little over a half an hour away to be able to visit Austin as well. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a pleasure to host your family. We are glad you enjoyed the comfy beds, and look forward to hosting your family again in the future.
Nice place, a little difficult to spot the first time, worse at night. Out in the country, with the subdivisions coming on fast. Quiet and serene atmosphere. A lot of low hanging branches, so be careful if your vehicle sits higher than average. The pink bathroom was a hit and beautiful. The backyard can be buggy, but there is some pesticide in the garage. Nice place, will stay here again. Host was helpful and professional.

Thanks for staying with us, we are glad you got to enjoy our country house at the city limit.
The house is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Water bottles and snacks were provided. The internet is superfast and reliable. Well lit home in a country setting, but close enough to all of the modern shopping amenities. Horses grazing in the neighboring property. Would definitely return. Great communication with the property owner.
It was even more than we expected. The amenities were great. Quiet community. Close to town and shopping. Loved sitting on the back porch enjoying the 200 year old Oak tree and watching the horses next door. Would definitely come again.
Oh, my goodness, what a great place. Just a little piece of Heaven right on the edge of town. Enjoyed the horses out in the hay field, not to mention the chickens.
Your home was so comfy, and we totally had everything we needed and then some. Could not have ask for better.
Great communication and the snack basket was fabulous.
Thanks tons,

Everything about the home was amazing, my personal favorite was the master bedroom with the walk-in closet!!

About the host
Hosted by Brian Ehrler
Hello everyone, happy to make your acquaintance. My name is Brian my wife's name is Tanya and we are the part owners, full time property managers, chief cooks and bottle washers of this property.
Why they chose this property
This property has been in Tanya's family for a few decades. It originally belonged to her grandparents. Through a bit of horse trading, negotiating, and hard work, we have become the caretakers of the old stone farm house. Over the past couple of years we have updated most of the house. We replaced the 1965 electrical, plumbing, heating, and most importantly in Texas, the AC. We completely renovated the hall bath/laundry room. We've taken out old carpeting and replaced it with luxury vinyl plank flooring. The home was brought up to code and is now a great place to get away. We've worked hard to bring the house forward to the modern century, while embracing the original charm of the farmhouse. Although we still have projects to do, the home is now a pleasant respite for family. We have fond memories of the adventures we've had along the way.
What makes this property unique
Our property is quite unique. We are technically "in the country" with the city limit being just a few hundred feet away. That means our country home is moments away from the city. Although the home is sitting in the midst of 5 acres, the best thing about the property is our namesake, One Old Oak, the approximately 200 year old live oak tree that is in the backyard.
