Please note, The Loft is secluded and as such is located on an unpaved camp road on Phillips Lake. We always encourage guests to rent the SUV as opposed to the sports car since the road can be a little rough depending on the weather. It's part of the adventure of being in the Maine woods!

We had a fantastic stay at The Loft. Leanne was a great host and the property was gorgeous. We loved the deck, fire pit, and grill. Secluded and near a beautiful lake. High ceilings and great natural light in the living room and bedroom were highlights. Thanks again, Leanne!
My husband, dog and I all really enjoyed our stay at the Loft celebrating our three time delayed honeymoon and babymoon. There is a short stretch of gravel, curvy road to get to the place. It was very beautiful and peaceful, an excellent retreat and place to relax. Leanne is a wonderful host and provides all the essentials plus some to make your stay super enjoyable. Would highly recommend!
This is probably my favorite vacation rental ever! The house is absolutely gorgeous, Phillips Lake and the surrounding area are beautiful, the location is convenient to the coast, Ellsworth, and Bangor, and Leanne, the host, is super helpful and friendly. We were in the area to visit with family so didn't get a chance to take advantage of the kayak or some of the nearby trails - we will have to return!

Love to have you two back anytime! You were wonderful and easy guests to have. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at The Loft!
Fabulous place, much bigger than it appears in the photos. The host thought of everything, from a bottle of wine to a whole basket of s'mores fixings to maple syrup, jam, gourmet mustard and more. VERY well stocked kitchen. Amazing shower. And of course, the gorgeous lake right across the street!
We couldn't have asked for anything better. In fact, we were trying to dream up some excuses to stay longer. The host was helpful and informative and thought of everything you might need or want. We were taking in Acadia, but frankly, we would have been just as happy enjoying this property and Philips Lake. Beautiful.
My wife and I stayed at The Loft for our ten year wedding anniversary. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations! The Loft was beautifully laid out with attention to every detail. The lake was so peaceful and truly relaxing. Leanne went above and beyond as a hostess. We highly recommend The Loft and we will definitely be back to stay in the future. 10/10!!!

Steve and Meghan were the perfect guests! They treated the Loft as their own and left it in perfect condition. I’m so glad they enjoyed Maine. I hope to have them back again in the future. They are welcome anytime!
The Loft is a place of contemplation. Sure you should go out to a wondrous national park with its views and coastline or the bustling excitement of Bar Harbor but sitting on your dock as the sun sets waiting for the loons to come out onto the lake beats all. Enjoy the peace and tranquility.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the loft. The accommodations were comfortable and it was a very peaceful location. The loft is tastefully decorated, the kitchen is stocked and we enjoyed the libations left by other guests. The outdoor seating area was relaxing and very private so we enjoyed many campfires at night. We had access to our own dock and kayak on the lake across the street. My husband had to work a couple afternoons, while I spent time reading and enjoying the lake. There is a desk and fast wifi so he was able to work right from the loft. Upon leaving we made sure to leave some libations for the next guest to enjoy!

Jessica was a wonderful guest. She was a good communicator and left everything in super condition. She is welcome back anytime!
Just across the road from direct access to Phillips Lake via a dock owned by the owner of the VRBO property, this house makes an immediate stylish impression. Recently built in what this non-expert would call a contemporary style, the house is nestled in the woods with ample parking and a pollinator garden out front. Inside, it is spacious with an open floor plan and contemporary decor that conjures Scandinavian aesthetic (to this inexperienced eye). The appliances and climate control systems up to date and work perfectly. The porch overlooking the front of the house faces east, making it a wonderful place to enjoy the evening air. We had friends visit us during our stay and they also raves about both the house and the lake. My wife and I love open floor plans and we get along very well with each other. If you find yourself in a tense situation with your co-resident, there’s a spacious bathroom with a larger shower one of you can skull away to. 😉
Bottom line: we would definitely stay at The Loft when we are in the area.
This newly built loft is located in a wooded area across the street from beautiful Lake Phillip. It is a great setting to relax and enjoy the scenery and the quiet makes it an easy place to come if you need to get away to write or get other work done. Leanne, who lives across the street, greeted us in person on the day we arrived to give us a tour of the space. She is the best host. She is friendly, responsive to questions, and eager that guests enjoy the property and their stay. We were pleasantly surprised, for instance, by the complimentary syrup, jelly, and mustard from Maine that Leanne left for us. The guest book she prepared will acquaint you with how to use all of the loft’s wonderful amenities - including the woodstove!
The space is beautiful and comfortable with a modern and open feel. It is extremely clean. You will not want for anything. The open kitchen is extremely well-supplied even having a Nespresso machine and milk steamer for you to use! Up-to-date technology controls many of the home’s features, but our favorite was the large shower with two shower heads, very good water pressure, and a bench. Each morning, we enjoyed the view, the sun, and the sounds of birds from the upper balcony. The outdoor space and rock garden come with a grill and fire pit you can enjoy in the evenings. Guests also have access to the lake across the street on Leanne’s property.
If you are looking for a relaxing stay in an incredibly comfortable space, with a modern appeal, this is your place. We would highly recommend a stay at the loft to anyone. We hope to return one day! Jacob and Chris
