The Gazebo is shaped like it's name and has windows on every wall that lets in light and the view of the lake or horses, all around. Sit on the front porch listening to the sounds of birds or with a good book, sipping wine as the water lulls your troubles away. The water is low due to the draught but the Gazebo is still a nice place to stay when you visit our area.

This one bedroom small house is in the perfectly equipped with everything the two of us needed. The view of horses and the pond was bucolic in the country. The bed bed is comfortable
Our stay was great! Vera is a great host, very easy to communicate with. I also had a change in travel plans a week before my stay and Vera was very easy to work with in changing my travel dates which was appreciated. Unique b&b in the peaceful country while still being close to local attractions. Very clean and comfortable. Also loved reading the history of the gazebo! Would definitely stay here again!
We were very pleased with everything about our stay. Vera thought of everything from ice cubes to shampoo to a very comfort bed. We were also able to bring our dog. Everything was clean and comfortable. We will stay again when it is cooler weather.
We were having some work done on our house and wanted a weekend getaway near the Texas hill country and found this little gem on VRBO, away from the hustle and bustle from town but just a short trip to shopping resturants etc.. great place for a couples getaway, access to pond to fish or just hang out near the water. Highly recommend, its a little rustic but that is part of the charm. Will definitely visit again.
"If you want to getaway and disconnect from the city without having to travel to far, the Gazebo is the perfect quiet retreat for 2 (plus a dog). It is cozy and has all the essentials one needs. We especially enjoyed the porch and the sounds of birds, crickets and horses and the pond. We will definitely be coming back!
This property was a great place for my wife and I to relax with our dog. We didn’t have to worry about our dog running away because the property was huge. She loved it. We used the paddle board that was was supplied on the private dock and pond. The gazebo was perfect. Had everything a couple would need. Thanks again we will definitely be back.
If I could give it more stars I would. This was an absolutely fabulous experience. The location is so perfect for any activity you’re looking for. Tubing, ghost hunts, river walk, caverns, and small little towns. If you’re looking to experience everything these cities have to offer but want to have that country feel. This is the perfect place. Loved loved loved….Will return so many more things to see and all within 30 mins. The host was kind, attentive, easily accessible. Had everything we needed from coffee to bug spray…
I feel like this is the best kept secret in Marion; My spouse and I
truly enjoyed ourselves at this getaway; He fished; I relaxed.
On deck just us and no one else around, bait about 5 min away down the street. Vera's dog "D" very friendly; comes around to check out the guest then magically disappears. Looking forward to book again! I think the thing we enjoyed the most was the serenity we can't find in a big City! Thanks again Vera for a great time!
My wife and I needed a place to stay with our two dogs . This has plenty of open space to walk them around. The pond there is nice and has a paddle boat you can use. It gets pitch black at night so bring a flashlight!
The cabin is cozy at night but was a little warm in the afternoon. The owner said she is already working to improve this. Overall a good choice for a country getaway for the weekend!

Cute place awkward owner
This little gazebo was in a great location out in the country and perfect for our dogs. It was clean and comfortable with lots of nice amenities. We would of considered staying here again if not for the owner. Before we arrived she was attentive and accommodating by allowing us to shift our dates but while we were there she watched our every move. There is a one lane gravel drive leading up to the gazebo with pasture all around. From the gravel drive to the gazebo is some flagstone layed for stepping stones. The morning after we arrived we weee l going to town and I turned around in the pasture and realized we had forgotten something so I pulled around up to the door still in the dirt. When coming back toward the gravel road I was intentional in avoiding the flagstone walkway. Within 30 seconds I had a message saying I hope you didn’t crack that flagstone! Within 10 minutes of us checking out she sent a message saying that 2 stones were cracked and she was sending me a bill. I explained that our car never touched the stone! I was shocked. At one point during our stay she sent me a message asking if I lost something because she saw me waking around the gazebo area. I feel like she just sat at her house watching us out her window! It was very uncomfortable, I felt like we had to walk on eggshells. We have stayed at many VRBOs and I have never experienced something like this!
Beautiful property with all the necessities! The pond is gorgeous.
Such a cozy spot for a weekend (or more!) and Vera, you were so thoughtful and welcoming!
This place is very nice. Secluded (country like feeling) but not far from the city! Great host, the property is a plus with a beautiful lakeside scenery. Paddle boat is available to use in the lake. Very homelike feeling. The bed is very comfortable and It also has all the conveniences of a home. Great place to stay, will definitely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Vera
Hello! After nearly 4 decades of training, showing horses at my facility we are now only hosting a few horses for training and have decided to open the property so that others can enjoy the beautiful man made lake, wildlife and native plants that my students have been enjoying for years.
Why they chose this property
The Gazebo was formerly a home to grounds keepers and has been newly renovated from top to bottom for our guests to enjoy a relaxing, comfortable stay. You can sit on the front porch enjoying the shade of the large tree while looking out onto the pasture and lake by day or by the fairy lights at night. The Gazebo is private and away from close neighbors.
What makes this property unique
There is a private pier for you to enjoy the lake with Adirondack chairs and a table for eating. And a pedal boat, use it to fish (if you prepaid) or to sit on the water with the shade cover up, or a cool evening ride.
