A beautiful peaceful retreat

We had a truly wonderful time on this very beautiful and laid back island. The house was spotlessly clean and suited our needs very well (two adults and two older teenagers) The views are spectacular, the living spaces and gardens very well designed and there are many different places to enjoy an iced coffee or chilled glass of wine. There is a fantastic local taverna within a very pretty 10 minutes’ walk and all the attractions of the island are easily accessible. However, the best part of our holiday was enjoying two meals cooked by private chef Chrysanthi, one very sophisticated and the other a more traditional, home-cooked menu. Both absolutely delicious and providing a very authentic Greek experience. We learned a lot about Lefkada food and life. Thank you - we’ll be back!

Kurz zusammengefasst: PERFEKTSchon vor unserer Reise fühlten wir uns über den Internetauftritt, sowie den zur Verfügung gestellten Infos sehr gut vorbereitet. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümen, als auch mit der Hausverwalterin liefen gut und vor allem immer sehr zeitgerecht.Das Haus an sich ist nahezu perfekt. Man hatte nicht den Eindruck in einer Ferienunterkunft zu sein. Es waren alle nützlichen Dinge des täglichen Bedarft vorhanden. Während unseres Aufenthalts wurden wir sehr gut von der Hausverwalterin betreut. Sehr zu empfehlen sind ihre Kochkünste. Auf Wunsch bereitet sie gegen Entgelt ein hervorragendes griechisches Buffet zu.Aber die eigentliche Krönung ist der unbeschreibliche Ausbilck auf das Meer und die Berge. Sowohl von der Terasse am Pool, als auch von den verschiedenen Balkonen und weiteren Terassen hat man diese Aussicht. Den einzigen Preis den man für diese traumhalte Lage in den Bergen bezahlen muss, ist die Anfahrt. Die teilweise steilen Bergstrassen sind in einem nicht wirklich guten Zustand. Empfehlenswert ist ein Auto mit viel Bodenfreiheit. Wir hatten einen VW T-Roc und sind damit gut klar gekommen. Das kleine Dorf mit einer sehr guten Taverne ist fussläufig erreichbar, der nächst größere Ort mit PKW in ca 5 Minuten. Auch die Strände an der Ostküste sind in ca 15 Minuten erreichbar. Bis zu den Traumstränden (Egremni Beach oder Porto Katsiki) an der Westküste braucht man allerdings ca 50 Minuten. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und entspannte Zeit. Die Lage mit wunderbarer Aussicht und das Haus als solches sind traumhaft- ein echtes zu Hause auf Zeit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
