About this property

Central Florida Vacation Stilt Home with pool!

Your family will be close to most everything FL has to offer when you stay at this centrally-located home. I am within an hour drive of all theme parks, major beaches, sports stadiums and concert venues. Located in the center of town close to grocery stores, fast food locations and all of the local restaurants as well! Most importantly, to me anyway, minutes from several boat ramps that lead into beautiful Tampa Bay and little Manatee River which are great for boating leisure, sport and fishing.
The unique 1300 sqft stilt home sits on an acre of fenced land with few adjoining neighbors but close to nice housing developments that are great for walking. the front porch wraps around the house and has a swing that looks over a huge front yard. there's another swing and seating area with fire table downstairs under the house. The backyard has a large pole fort for the kids with a slide and fireman pole. The large saltwater 25'x12' in ground pool is 4.5' deep and has a big paver deck connecting it to the house below. There are security cameras under the house, on the driveway, pool and doorbell. There are no cameras inside the house.

Everything at this VRBO was excellent. The host Dustin was always available. The yard was fully fenced so i could let my dog off leash. This home has everythimg you need for your vacation.we were therefor a wonderful 46 days. Its close to the Zoo and ma.y beaches. There are slso 2 dog parks. This has been one of the best vacations my sister and I have taken in a long time. Thank you Dustin.

Excellent Property ! Totally worth the experience

we had a very pleasant stay at the property. It had a huge backyard and my puppy went crazy running around all day. It was totally worth to see our pet so happy and excited. The owner is a gem of a person, always willing to help at a moments notice. I would recommend this property to anyone going to Ruskin.

Nice house with lovely pool

Property has a few minor flaws like an unscured gate in the fence that is on the property line with another neighbor's yard who has a medium sized dog so didn't feel comfortable letting the dogs off leash as our largest is super friendly and could easily open the gate. Pool is so clean and well kept. Overall house had been cleaned and had fresh linens provided. Will stay here again if in Ruskin!

Great remote work location for us and our dog.

We stayed in Ruskin for 6 weeks in March and April 2024. Dustin, the owner, was great. Responded to any inquiry in an hour or two max. The property is just as it is described. Ruskin is kinda rural for the location. Only 30-45 mins from Tampa, St. Pete or Bradenton, but very quiet. Very dog friendly, only a couple of designated beaches that he couldnt go on. Great parks near by, nice pool at the house, very relaxing - we had a blast.

I Wanted to Like It

We were a family of adults and children visiting for 3 days. The house and property are unkempt and dated. The owner should solicit the use of professional cleaners because it felt like we needed to clean everything before we touched/used it (EX: coffee pot still had old molded coffee in the filter from a previous use). We had to keep a close watch on the kids out in the yard because there were safety hazards all around. The owner did let us know that the pool may not be usable before we arrived and it was not. He showed up to clean it one day and pool cleaners another day, which kind of took away from our ability to have exclusive use of the property. Overall, the owner's seemed to be a good guy and communication was great, but the property left much to be desired.

Dated and cluttered

The location was fine and the owner was friendly. He did come over to greet us and was available by message when needed. The house however was full of personal photos on the wall and clothes in the drawers and closets full of junk and personal stuff. It felt like we were intruding in someone's home, not staying at a generic vacation property. The house looked ok at first glance, but really could do with a deep clean by a professional team. The master bedroom stank of pee ( guessing a previous vacationers pet used the carpet as a toilet). We had to burn scented candles continuously to mask the smell. I strongly recommend the owner removes the carpet and replaces with vinyl if he is going to allow pets. The toilet in the main bathroom ran water at random times, which was a little annoying at night and there was a smoke detector ( or something) that kept chirping outside the master bedroom window. Both of these issues are easy fixes. With a little updating and removal of the personal items, this vrbo would be just great.

Great Family House

We were very pleased with the house and property. We brought our dog and she absolutely loved the fenced yard. Everything was exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed. The pool was crystal clear. Owner was very responsive to any questions. We would definitely stay there again!
