Charming Bungalow with pool/jacuzzi/game room.

Your "Texas meets Palm Springs" resort-style stay with contemporary twist, nestled in the popular Houston Heights area near downtown Houston! Our bungalow offers room for up to 6 guests (bring the kids!), and a slew of amenities for falling in love with your Houston experience.

Enjoy a private, outdoor space with jacuzzi, optional heated pool, gazebo, grill, games, fire-pit, and outdoor cinema.

Come enjoy a beautiful sunset view from our backyard!

Property Service details:

- The option to heat the pool is available year round. If you would like to heat the pool during your stay, please notify us at least 72 hours before your arrival. There will be an initial cost, depending on the season.

- Early Check-In/Late Check-out is available at no extra charge, provided we are given at least 72 hours notice AND have no guests arriving or departing the same day as you. For last minute requests, or requests longer than 1 hrs, we do charge a $50/hr fee.


Property Quirks:

- The walls in the dining room are a beautiful white! Unfortunately that means they attract dirt :( Kindly refrain from touching the walls in the dining room.

- The pool sits near some trees, so depending on the season and wind conditions, debris will likely make its way into the pool. We do our best to clean the pool between stays and during stays on most Thursdays (please plan accordingly), but please be understanding if you arrive and Mother Nature has made a small mess. The automated pool vacuum is scheduled to clean everyday, and there are cleaning tools available for guests to use between service dates, if desired.

Great Houston Getaway

What a cute little oasis so close to the city! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the amenities were great, the little suite in the backyard was super cute and cozy, and the chickens (we named them Thelma and Louise) were good company. :) All appliances and lighting were very modern, and I also felt a touch of European in the design. The hosts were super responsive and usually answered within 30 minutes or sooner I felt! Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend.

Not so great

I've never left a negative review prior to this one as I usually get what I pay for. However, this expensive booking was not worth the price. They advertised a heated pool for an extra charge, but it "wasn't working" the first night we were there. When I reached out to them and let them know that was the only reason we booked the house, there was someone there within minutes who turned it on. (Hmmmm) Upon arrival to the unit, the owner was there with their shoes outside. They had not reached out to us to let us know there was a problem with the pool and when we tried to make entry - the owner came out, retrieved their shoes, and went back inside. =/. We felt very uncomfortable. Once the pool issue was resolved over half way through the booking, I realized we had been charged for two extra people initially that did not end up coming. So I contacted the owner to let them know. The original booking was then adjusted and the owner replied saying I wasn't charged extra despite my detailed receipt. Days later, I received an additional invoice for heating the pool. (They discounted a small amount for the pool heating issue despite this being the sole reason we even booked the house to begin with). I paid it and will move on down the road. It was not what we expected, communication was poor, and the cost was outrageous given the experience we had. The projector was extremely difficult to set up and we couldn’t watch the Astros game even after hours of trying. The lack of communication and pool heating charge were icing on the cake. Do not recommend and will never go back.

Hello Tara, I am very confused as it looks like the person who stayed and the person who left review are two completely different people. We have all the correspondence recorded in our inbox and the last message was about how much you loved our house: "We love your house and are taking good care of it! Cleaning the kitchen now. We ended up with only 7 girls and 3 Moms. So, are we able to add in the $100 for the heated pool, but take off the extra charges for guests? Thank you, Tara" Not only you loved our house you also asked to add $100 pool heating fee and we only charged you $75. I think the unsatisfied review is due to the fact that you misunderstood the pricing when you booked the place. You booked for 10 and my price is set as 8 plus extra $40 for guests after 8 up to 10. So in this case you did pay extra guests fee for 2 out of 10. There was no extra fees above that. Please take a look at your pricing again and check the rates. It should clarify everything. If not please reach out to VRBO support to explain how the pricing works. We apologize for misunderstanding but we truly believe that review is not fair and we did provide great service. Thanks and have a great day.

Great for family

This place was perfect for us as our family lives a 5 minute walk down the street. We were a family of 4 and had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. It rained a lot so we didn't have a chance to use the outdoor amenities like the pool/spa, outdoor movie screen or the ping pong table but these are all wonderful additions for families to enjoy the home. Would definitely stay here again.

I love to live the big city life but also have this house for myself when i want to rewind from the hustle and bustle.

Why they chose this property

This property is must stay! It is centrally located, yet very secluded and quiet with fenced backyard and private pool. You can also play ping pong and try fresh eggs from chickens that live in the coop on the property. Dining, shopping are minutes away, with a park and bike trails just outside the neighborhood.

Houston's biggest attractions are just a short drive away, depending on traffic:

- Downtown (Houston Opera, Gallerias, Aquarium): 15-25 minutes
- Med center, NRG Stadium, Minute Maid Stadium: 20-30 minutes
- NASA: 30-45 minutes
- Hobby Airport: 35-45 minutes
