The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Load and run dishwasher Bag all trash, including bathrooms and put in bins
Return all toys and other items as you found them. Toys in disarray for housekeeping will result in a $125 fine.
Wednesday night trash and recycle go to street for Thursday pickup. Lots of bins on street, our are clearly marked. Please move back along house after pickup.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Our famy of 4 adults and two children had a nice stay for two nights while visiting the Johnson Space Center and other nearby sites. Our 3 yr. old and 6 yr. old grandsons enjoyed the toyroom and large backyard. Kitchen is well equipped for meals and the beds were very comfortable.

The home was clean and comfortable. Things I look for:Mattresses - excellentPillows - very good and smelled greatCleanliness - excellentLocation & Neighborhood - greatBathrooms - main bathroom is a little dark & the shower head feels like needles ( needs to have some ability to adjust ). Second bathroom shower is greatKitchen - spacious and well stockedIf we were travelling with children, this home would be a dream - lots of toys, bunk beds, and a very nice fenced yard. This rental was perfect for my three kids! They enjoyed playing with all the toys and reading all the books. The beds were comfortable and the decor was so cute. Location was perfect and close to many delicious restaurants.

Gamily stay in the Heights

Enjoyed the unit, had great amenities for our 15 mon grandson (portable crib, high chair, toy room, changing table) and our 2 daughters and son in laws enjoyed the bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and well stocked kitchen We will definitely check it out again on a future visit to Houston.

Ideal location in the Heights

Wonderful property with a massive, fully fenced backyard that would be a dog or child's paradise! The open space was perfect for running and playing. We didn't have kids with us, but the indoor play area, books are kids bedroom were adorable. The kitchen was well-equipped, though we didn't do much cooking as we were enjoying Restaurant Week

Calling All Families of Littles!

The Pines was such a wonderful destination for our family! The check in process and communication with the owners was a breeze. The owners are incredibly friendly and have a great sense of humor, even sending us donuts one morning for helping out with something another guest left. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Our children very much enjoyed themselves - inside and outside! Highly recommend for other families.

The Pines

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The fenced in back yard is very nice, especially when traveling with a pet. Our hosts were friendly and offered lots of information about restaurants in the area. In the online pictures, the rooms and the house look much bigger than they actually are, so it was a little cozy…but nice.

Our kids loved the house especially the play room. We had a issue with the air conditioner not working the first day causing us to stay at a hotel, but the owner had fixed the second day and issue a refund for the first day.

Great family and pet friendly rental

We have two toddlers, and they loved the playroom and toys! They didn't want to leave the house when we first got there. It is also pet friendly, and we brought our 12 year old pug. Host was very quick with any questions we had. It is also within walking distance to multiple restaurants/breweries. Highly recommend, especially if you have little ones and pets.

family style house in the Heights

This house was perfect for our family clan to stay. The toddlers loved the toy/play room and had tons of fun playing with the water table. This home had all of the comforts of home, streaming TV , comfortable beds and a pack/n-play. While we did not bring any pets with us the back yard be a great place for dogs to runaround. We would rent again when we visit the Heights. Very good experience!

In the Heights

Great property especially if you have a child or children with you. You know what they say about real estate.. location, location, location! The home is in the a great neighborhood in Houston called the Heights. It’s a dead end street so not a lot of traffic. Big fenced yard with lots of toys for young children. Walking distance or short drive to great restaurants or shopping etc.. grocery store less than 5 mins away. Would stay at Fritz’s home again if visiting Houston!

House was totally fine. Was tidy but not clean. Neighborhood is good but the actual block of the house has a bunch of rundown houses with broken cars in the yard and chain link fences. Was functional for sleeping but we tried to spend as little time there as possible

You are in the heights. Houston has no zoning laws. Nearby is a collision auto repair center. You left our house is complete disarray and filthy. For having spent so little time , you were able to make quite a mess and not follow check out instructions.

Great toys and books for children

This property suited us as it is close to family living in Houston and had great kids toys and books. The downside is that there is a need for more maintenance especially the kitchen - the cupboards and gas oven in particular. There is a large grassed back garden area which the children were excited about but unfortunately there were spikey weeds and fire ant nests - one was well established under the door mat and beside the back door.

Ian- fire ants do not live in the winter time. The lawn and pests are managed by a very trustworthy company that assures of these pests not being present. The kitchen and gas oven are relatively new , within 3 years , of a historic heights home. Travel safe. Your group also left the home very dirty requiring additional cleaning and didn’t remove the trash.
