This spacious apartment has two separate bedrooms containing 1 King and 1 Queen bed, along with a full sized kitchen, dining room, living room, and balcony. During your stay, we encourage you to explore our beautiful Island, which boasts breathtaking views, historic locations, delicious food and beverage, shopping, and tons of fun! As your hosts, we live onsite and will be available for any questions you may have. We look forward to hosting you soon!

It is located close to the bars and restaurants on Main St. The beds were supper comfortable. Place has two good sized bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, living room and a private second floor patio that overlooks the golf course. I would recommend this place.

House on the Green

This place was a great find in the island. The house was clean, updated, comfortable and has an AMAZING view of the golf course. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating! Food at breakfast was very good as well. They smoke their own food and it smelt delicious just didn’t have time to try other food.

Jordan and Eric made our stay comfortable. They were attentive to our needs and were there if we had concerns or problems. The are great people. I give them a 11 out of 10.

Needed cleaning

Our stay was pleasant. Unfortunately, the apartment had not been cleaned thoroughly. The kitchen sink and stove had food and scum on them, and the floors needed to be swept and scrubbed, but after we reported it to Daniel and Laura, they did their best to finish the cleaning.

Great location, room for improvement

Our stay was great, within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Waking up on the golf course was beautiful. Great bang for your buck. Although we couldn’t get the AC to work, thankfully a worker lent us his personal fan. Could’ve been cleaner, and it was hard to get a hold of the property manager but once we did she was very accommodating. But overall it was a great home base for exploring all that Washington Island has to offer!(:

We, as the property managers, experience very intermittent internet connectivity, therefore, it is difficult to respond to VRBO inquiries in a timely manner. Thanks to your review, we now have a comprehensive check in/check out explanation, as well as an explanation of our very limited access to VRBO inquiries in our messaging that sends when a room is booked. We have also invested in an A/C unit for the Suite. We appreciate the opportunity to improve ourselves based on your review.

Cozy place, no fan available

We found the listing to be as shown and had a comfortable stay, The VRBO in Deer Run Golf Course is a great location near to the main shops, Red Cup Coffee and the bookstore, and the lavender farm. It was quiet and we heard quails. The washer/dryer is a plus. Very close to KK Fiske and Mann’s Mercantile. Daniel and Laura were helpful caretakers and were ready to answer our questions. Unfortunately there was an issue with the living room A/C unit (needed a filter) and one of the bedrooms didn’t have an AC unit. They were quick to order a new filter for the A/C, yet it didn’t arrive during our stay. We were lucky that it was cool enough to get by with open windows. The unit has no box fan. We bought a fan in case but ended up not needing it. If it had been hot like the first day, we would’ve needed the fan. Daniel asked the manager if we could get a discount for the A/C issue and we asked too but got no answer. The managers are on the mainland. Also of note: The golf course will be transferring owners. I was able to speak with the local man who will be the new owner, and he was friendly and helpful. If he becomes owner the VRBO might become his living quarters, yet the motel rooms will stay open. (Also on VRBO?) He’s volunteering his own time to help the course look nice again. Despite the A/C issue it was a comfortable place.

Nice place to stay

We enjoyed the loft on Washington Island. It was above a golf course bar. I would recommend going to the island before Columbus day however because a lot of the things are closed down after the holiday.

Great Island Location

Great spot on the island to see all that the island has to offer! Within walking distance to delicious restaurants and cute local shops! My friends and I had a great girls weekend here!

Golf course and lodging is under new ownership

The property is perfectly situated for golf on Washington Island's only golf course; about 200 yds to the first tee and less than 100 yds from the 9th green. It's an easy walk to bars, restaurants, and shopping. The golf course clearly needs some work and restoration. Although the property is now owned by a larger hospitality group in central Wisconsin it is still family run by Eric and his wife Jordan who were wonderful hosts. There is good reason to expect major improvements in the coming year.

They where very accommodating. We brought our utvs over to the island for the weekend. Had a great time. We had fires at night and they had games set up outside we could use as well. We will be back.

Quiet yet in the heart of the action!

Super clean, very spacious. Quiet and peaceful with a huge grassy area filled with lawn toys (bean bags, etc) and a bonfire pit. Very close bike ride to downtown restaurants/shops and a beautiful sunset spot!

Golf course view

The property was nice and clean. Nice views of golf course. The first day we arrived was warm and there was only the one a.c. unit in the main bedroom. It was hot. An nearby tree frog was quite vocal (loud) which made it hard to sleep.

Very welcoming property. Jordan was extremely friendly and helpful! Great location for exploring everything the island has to offer. Wasn’t able to check out the golf course due to weather,but will try it out next time. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay on the golf course

This place has plenty of room to accommodate 4 adults and two small kids. We enjoyed watching the golfers and playing mini golf! The check in and check out process was great!
