About this property
2-bedroom home in the country but just a short drive to downtown Georgetown!
Casa Caliza is an inviting, open-layout living space perfect for enjoying time with friends and family. Kick back on the large sectional sofa to watch your favorite shows on Netflix, or hop onto Sling for basic cable channels. Connect your phone to the Bluetooth speakers to listen to your favorite tunes or browse the selection of classic vinyl on the record player.
The primary bedroom features a king bed with a queen sleeper sofa. The ensuite bathroom has a large step-in shower with his and her sinks. The second bedroom features a queen bed with a Nectar mattress and a twin bed. Both bedrooms have large closets with plenty of options for clothing storage.
The kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you'll need to prepare a feast. There is a Keurig, a drip coffee maker, and a French press. We provide a few Keurig pods and creamer to get you started on your first morning.
The dining table seats six and has an additional three barstools.
The exterior boasts walls made from local limestone, a classic Texas-covered front porch made from cedar wood, and a back patio perfect for family meals hot from the BBQ. Soak your cares away in the hot tub while taking in the hill country view.
Enjoy the shade from one of the hundreds of oak trees or find a clearing for some good ol' Texas stargazing through the telescope.
The entire house and immediate outside area are reserved for guests. We have multi-generational family members who live in the other homes on the property, but they will respect your privacy. The other houses on the property are private residences, so we ask that guests not explore the different homes to respect the residents' privacy.
Luna, the resident German Shepherd, loves to greet guests. She'll most likely show you around the property in exchange for a toss of her toy or a pat on the head.
The ground on the property in some areas is rocky and uneven. We recommend using caution when walking in those areas. Wear closed-toed shoes on the property, especially in the warmer Texas months. We provide bug spray with DEET and natural, DEET-free bug spray.
Small gatherings are allowed but must be approved in advance. An additional fee may apply. Any unauthorized parties will be immediately evicted from the property.
We do not allow other dogs to stay since Luna takes her territorial responsibilities seriously. Service dogs are always welcome, but we ask that you please give us a heads-up so we can ensure Luna doesn't have a chance to meet the other dog.
No smoking is allowed inside the house.

About the host
Hosted by Catherine

I am originally from Michigan, but I moved around quite a bit as an army brat. I've had the pleasure of living in Germany, Louisiana, and Colorado. I currently live in the Austin, Texas area, but I travel often with my three kids, husband, and three dogs. I am an animal lover, avid reader, aspiring writer, and I absolutely love to grill (and consume lots of BBQ) on a sunny Texas day!
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property as a place for multi-generations of our family to enjoy. We love having homes for our family members that are close to our home while also being able to utilize the house for ourselves when we stay at the property.
What makes this property unique
Enjoying birds and wildlife on the property, singing loudly outside without bothering neighbors, all while being a short drive from stores, restaurants, and city life is the dream!
