The kitchen was nicely supplied, the location was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and this worked very well for our four days of biking.

If you are looking at riding either the Paul Bunyan or Heartland Bike trails I strongly encourage you to book this place; safe keeping of your bike in the garage! Quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for us. We arrived, unloaded our things, had dinner in the nicely supplied kitchen, crashed for the night, and hit the bike trail the next morning. We walked the couple blocks to the main hub of town - grocery store is a bit further. Spacious, clean, well supplied home.

Potentially a really great place, super clean, well stocked kitchen, and bathroom essentials. Nice yard for dogs, and off street parking. Overwhelmed by stale, lingering cigarette smoke, made our stay miserable. No forewarning in any reviews or from management.

Thank you for your review Nancy. As I said in our previous conversation we do everything we can possibly do to get rid of the smell from our neighbors in the condo next to us. We use an ionizer between stays, air fresheners, etc. I rarely get complaints but some people are much more sensitive than others. I would have sent my management team over to try to help with the situation had I known about it during your stay. I'm very sorry that it ruined your stay. Betty & Kevin

Wonderful, quiet condo close to everything. Beds very comfy. Lots of spaces for gathering or privacy. Backyard felt like a private oasis. We could not have asked for anything that wasn’t already there. Appliances and finishings were top notch. The shower looks unremarkable - until you get in and the rain head and water pressure relax all the cares of the day away.

About the host

Although we are new to the VRBO world, Kevin and I have a long term background in lodging management so you are in good hands! We have managed and maintained properties in Minnesota and North Dakota but our absolute favorite place to be is Walker Minnesota. We are semi retired and enjoy tinkering around the house and getting out to our favorite fishing hole whenever we can. It's going to be an exciting first year in VRBO for us and we are SO excited that you are going to be a part of it!

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because of it's great location. If you want to spend the day on foot all the best up north stores are at your finger (or toe) tips. Mixed in with the great shopping are some wonderful restaurants and Walker’s own locally owned brewery. Just a block to the west you’ll find the charming Walker City Park and boat launch. Stop in for a quick dip at the city beach or just kick off your sandles and walk on the beach. Don’t forget to check out the lighthouse at the end of the pier!
Bring your bikes along because the Heartland Bike Trail is just steps from the back yard. You can ride for miles and miles in either direction on these amazing trails.
Walker boasts 2 of the most pristine golf courses in the north country. Longbow and Tianna Country Club are just a few miles from town and you’ll be blown away by their beauty.
Northern Lights Casino and Event Center is 4 miles from town and there are many events in the area as well. Walker Bay Live is a must do event and happens every Thursday night at a different spot every week. Food and live music draw people together to celebrate warm summer nights. Don’t miss the Farmers Market every Thursday as well.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefit of this property is that if you are with a group that doesn't necessarily want to all do the same thing there are things that can easily be done without a car so that others could use the car for further away excursions. The location is perfect!
