Pleasant place to stay, pet friendly for small dogs. Just wish we'd been able to stop the blow flies getting in more effectively

Glad you enjoyed the cottage and hope you enjoyed Penola and surrounds too. Unfortunately, flies and other insects are a regular occurrence in the country. We have done everything we can do to discourage them (flywire screens, fly spray, annual Spring pest spraying etc). Regrettably, some things are outside our control.
This charming little cottage is perfect for a short stay. Full of history and carefully curated artefacts it has a lovely sunny verandah for your morning cuppa.

Very pleased that you enjoyed Sarah's Cottage. Hope you visit again one day.
Lovely historic cottage very comfortable and perfect for a couple. Was also good to have off street secure parking. Great location as walking distance to town, supermarket and e-bike hire if you want to do the Coonawarra wine trial which is close by, flat and easy. Host easy to contact and very responsive to any queries. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Penola.
