About this property

Updated Camp- 5 min to Old Forge, 1st Lake views

Newly renovated camp with 1st Lake views as well as lake rights. Enjoy yourself on the large 2 tier outdoor deck over looking 1st lake. Camp custom sits on the hill above Hollywood Hills Beach. It is close to all amenities including Enchanted Forest, many hiking Drtrails and downtown Old Forge. Take a quick one minute walk down to the semi-private beach to sunbathe, fish, swim or launch your boat or jet skis. Feel free to use our kayaks to explore the Fulton Chain of lakes. The camp includes WIFI and cable TV in both the living room and master bedroom. The camp has 3 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 7. The fully equipped kitchen will allow you to cook inside or enjoy the views while you BBQ outside. At night enjoy a fire at the fire pit. Please note: As of 2024, docking at Hollywood hills is no longer available. Launching is available with prior notice, as we will need boat information to obtain a pass.

Great view!

The outdoor space was outstanding, with a great view of First Lake. Camp was cute, with ADK touch. Lots of windows with view of lake. Very nice place to stay. Enjoyed much!

Summer in Old Forge

The location and cabin was exactly as described. Very cozy and comfortable. The deck was a wonderful spot to read, dine and in the quiet of the early mornings or after dark, listen to the loons. Tim (the owner) was very accommodating and available if needed.

Good Time Had By All

It is an older property which has been updated with the necessaries, including kitchen and bath. We chose it for the location but mainly, because we were able to bring our two dogs. There were six of us and although the cottage was cozy, we were perhaps a bit cramped. That would not have been an issue but a rainy week forced us inside more than we would have liked. The location is beautiful - very close to First Lake and right off of Hollywood Road. The side road was excellent for dog walking and deer watching. We had one black bear sighting when walking the dogs at night but nothing we could not handle with a lot of noise and air horns.

I received a welcome email for the wrong weekend, followed up with an apology but nothing on our actually check in day. Never received the code for the front door, called both phone numbers listed, no one answered. Discovered a side door wide open. Finally was responded to in the app with multiple code options saying one of them should work. All outdoor lighting was shut off, no instructions on how to turn it on, my parents missed the house in the dark, then we had to unload their car in the dark, before finally figuring it out. We were told to bring our own linens (which we did) but did not expect there to be no bedding whatsoever. We were also told to bring our own towels, which we assumed to mean bath towels, however there wasn’t a kitchen towel or hand towel in the entire house. Upon arrival there was about a quarter of a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, when I asked the owner about more, he stated “it is locked up and we have our cleaning service put out one roll and you’re expected to provide your own after that” which was NOT communicated ahead of time, nor was it really the case since the roll that was out was nearly gone before we even arrived.Day two, a beeping sound in the fireplace. Owner confirmed it was a known issue with the batteries for the remote, walked me through how to remove them to stop the beeping and then said “oh you probably won’t be using it anyway”. No apology. The house was clean, location was good, but hospitality was extremely lacking.

Very quaint home with an amazing hilltop view of First Lake!

Tim and Renee were very communicative before and during our stay. There home is situated on First Lake and is a short drive to downtown Old Forge. The outdoor front porch was my favorite spot to chill out and look at the wonderful view of the lake!

Location is key at Camp Custom. Located only a 5 minute drive from town, but only a 2 minute walk down to the private shared beach. Views of 1st Lake from the large deck.
