We were in Gloucester for a wedding, 7 adults. Travelled from Ontario, Canada. There was plenty of room, without feeling crowded. Well stocked kitchen, very clean throughout. Able, to walk to restaurants, bars and sightseeing. Great location, good views. Check-in and check- out was seamless and easy. Would highly recommend.
Harbortown Hideaway is a beautiful home with lovely gardens, amazing views of Gloucester Harbor, and a short walk to the waterfront and wonderful bakeries and restaurants. We were in town for a family reunion in Lanesville and this house allowed us easy travel all around Cape Ann. Only about an hour away from Boston, we even took in a game at Fenway. The owners were very kind and accommodating. We highly recommend this property.
This property was beautiful inside and out! We came to visit Salem and the surrounding areas. We were able to take the train from Gloucester. There is a wonderful bodegas within walking distance from the house that serves great breakfast sandwiches. The bay is just outside your window. Itwasabltexplore the
Harbortown Hideaway is located less than a block from the waterfront and there are views from the kitchen, living room and both balcony patios (with breezes too). The unit is arranged with a king size bed room and bathroom on each end which was nice spacing for 2 couples. It has a big functional kitchen and multiple tables for dining. Beds were very comfortable. Multiple air conditioner units kept it comfortable on a very hot day. Beautifully landscaped gardens surround the home. Highly recommend.
My wife and I stayed for a week with our two young children and my wife’s parents. The trip was great! The property only includes the first floor of a two story house, but there is plenty of space and two outdoor decks to use. The space is very private. Although we could hear the upstairs neighbor occasionally, we never felt like the place wasn’t our “space.”
It was great being only a few minutes walk from several beaches, a nice park with playground for our kids, and all of the great shops and restaurants on and near Main Street. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Gloucester in the future!
Few obstacles: ice maker, toilets, hot water faucet in main bathroom
Great location . . . however, the second bathroom was a bit odd as you have to walk through the kitchen, exposing yourself to the street as the front door has no covering on a portion of it. The toilets needed adjustment and the hot water faucet was to be fixed. No ice as the ice maker was shut off and we didn't realize it. The management company was less than accommodating as there was limited dish soap and garbage bags. However all in all it was a nice getaway.
Perfect location close to town. This home was very comfortable with all the necessary equipment. Nice kitchen and lounge/living area which was great for relaxing. Great outdoor table and deck area when the sun came out! I would recommend this property.
We booked this property last minute for a wedding after realizing the hotel room we booked previously was going to be way too small for our family of 5. There were 3 awesome things about it:
1. AMAZING location. Beautiful view of the water. Super close to restaurants and shops and the hotel where the wedding was.
2. AMAZING communication with the property management company. They called me multiple times to confirm things, ensure I had everything I needed, and they even helped me with the rental and set up of a crib. I was beyond impressed. Plus everyone was super nice and friendly.
3. ADORABLE house. Great space, clean, and had everything we needed.
We live in Colorado, but this great experience has me considering an annual trip to Gloucester!
