About this property
Lazy B Lake House & Cabin on Flathead Lake, Waterfront with Tennis Court
Welcome to Lazy B Lake House! Lazy B is located just 10 miles north and a 15 minute drive from the picturesque town of Polson on Flathead Lake's serene Indian Bay. This park-like property includes the main house, a rustic cabin and a private tennis court, with 200 feet of lake frontage, situated on 3 acres of gently sloped terrain with sunset views of Wild Horse Island.
The Lake House is a midcentury vintage gem with walkout basement built in the late 1960s. The home, located right at the water's edge features a large covered deck and patio below with seating for 12 and a gas grill. Inside there is a large living room, a dining room with seating for 8, a well appointed kitchen, laundry room with washer and dryer, a rec room/bar and kitchenette, ping pong room, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The first bedroom with en suite bathroom is on the main floor and has a king bed. The second bedroom also on the main floor has a queen bed and a shared bath. The 3rd bedroom on the ground floor has a king bed, a pullout couch and shared bath. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds and shared bath. The rec room has two additional twin beds.
The High Ore Cabin, originally built in the 1940s, is a charming rustic respite, located above the Lake House, in the shade of the property’s many tall pines. Within, there is a wood stove for chilly nights, a vintage enamel kitchen and a living room area. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The cabin has one shared bath.
There is much to do at Lazy B Lake House, from day trips to Glacier National Park, a scenic hour and a half drive from the house, excursions by water to Wild Horse Island State Park just minutes away by boat, to hikes from our door to the overlook and mountain biking the many nearby trails. Our dock and rocky beach area have plenty of room for swimming, fishing, or relaxing in the shade. We have two water bikes, tennis rackets and balls for guest use. The main house has wireless internet.
Nearby activities in warmer months include golfing, horseback riding, boat rentals, waterskiing, wake surfing, fishing, mountain biking, wild huckleberry picking, flathead cherry picking at local you-pick farms, hiking and so much more. Nearby winter activities include downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking.
We look forward to making your stay at beautiful Flathead Lake a memorable experience for years to come!

About the host
Hosted by Taylor Valliant
I live in Missoula with my family and own a retail shop called Noteworthy Paper & Press. I have lived in Missoula since I moved here for college in 1996. My husband and I met at the University of Montana and raised our family here. We spent a few weeks every summer on Flathead lake and decided to buy our own place a few years ago. We love all the outdoor activities Montana has to offer from skiing in winter to wake surfing, rafting and hiking in summer months.
Why they chose this property
Indian bay is a special place where families have gathered for decades. You might see one of our neighbors who takes his wife out for a quick water ski lap around the bay each morning at 7 am. Or you might meet another neighbor as she walks the bank to meet her cousin for a glass of wine on Summer nights. Indian Bay has a unique summer camp / community feel reminiscent of simpler times.
What makes this property unique
Gently sloping properties are rare on Flathead. It is also rare to find a west facing property on the west side of the lake. This property is safely situated about 10 miles off the main highway on Rocky Point with plenty of space to roam and explore.
