The Unit was top-notch! New furniture inside and out and has all of the amenities a family or group could want or need. Enjoyed being able to sit outside (90 degrees was a little odd for October) and enjoy the view of Mille Lacs Lake.The only draw back was that the Izatys Resort was closed. Golf shut-down for the season, even though fall is the perfect time is golf! Restaurant/Bar was closed for the season, no Resort amenities available. Make sure to enjoy the surrounding areas and towns - so much to see.

Great gathering place

Very nice with plenty of space to get chat, eat and sleep. Nice patio over looking the lake for grilling during this fall weekend. All in my group thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Great getaway

We have stayed at this townhome 4 times and all have been very good. The owners made recent updates which were very nicely done and enhanced the experience. The location is on the lake, across from the pickleball courts and close to the golf clubhouse. The lake side yard has plenty of room for yard games.

This is about the 4-5th time I have stayed there. Always clean and fully stocked. Close to everything. What a view of the lake-right on the lake. Owner is easy to communicate with. Going back again next year.

Great time with family

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo on Milles Lac. It was spacious and located on the lake. A large lawn separated the house from the lake and there was a sandy and rocky beach. We bought a slip at the marina as there was no boat docking slip at the house. There was room for all and one couple procured a lodge room.

Overall a fine property … unless that is, anyone needs to use the bathroom. The bottom line: plumbing issues, misleading amenities listing, and lack of customer support.First off, the downstairs toilet was clogged upon arrival. I reached out via VRBO immediately- their response was something like, “oh no, the cleaning crew didn’t mention that and it’s the weekend so not sure if anyone can get out there….” ?!?! OK Thanks for … nothing? Additionally, upstairs main sink drain was super slow to drain and the upstairs toilet eventually clogged as well.Silver lining was that we were in town for a wedding and its many related activities, so subsequently we didn’t have the need/opportunity to spend much time at the unit. We slept there both nights and the beds were fine. The unit was cute too - bummer that the toilets didn’t function properly. We’d read the previous reviews where guests described that several of the amenities that are included in the listing (pool, hot tub, etc.) are no longer applicable, so no surprises there; however, those amenities should probably not be included - seems misleading. My family and I have traveled all over the world - literally - and have stayed in countless properties. We always try to give accurate and positive reviews but really, between the misleading amenities listed, the poor plumbing and lack of service from management, I can’t recommend this property.

So very nice

Loved the property, clean and well stocked. The room lay worked great for our family of 10. The owner let us come in early to enjoy what as supposed to be the only sunny day of the time we were there and it turned out we had every day to play outdoors. The pictures and description are spot on. The amenities at the resort are a nice touch and the resort staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this specific unit and the resort to anyone.

Everything and More!

Our visit to this property consisted of 4 mothers and 4 (adult) daughters for our annual Mother/Daughter weekend. It couldn't have been more perfect for a group of 8 women. The open floor plan made visiting very easy whether in the kitchen, at the dining table, or in the living room or all of the areas! Plenty of bedroom space and bathroom space. Very nicely decorated with all the updated amenities! Will definitely return.

Needs a good cleaning

My family rented this cabin over Labor Day weekend for 3 nights. The place was mostly clean, however we were somewhat disappointed in some areas. The living room furniture sinks to the bottom when you sit on it, the cushions are very worned and dirty. The furniture outside are covered in algae and spider webs. The rugs were dirty, we had to put one in the washer when we got there. After our return a day later, my 2 daughters noticed red, itchy, round bumps on their skin..some with clear fluid like blister all over their lower half, about 10-15 in total each when we counted. When I dressed my 10 yo son for school, I also noticed the same red bumps all over his stomach area, legs, and arms. It was just my 3 children who experienced this, the rest were fine and we all did the same activities outdoor. I talked to our family doctor and sent photos, she confirmed what we suspected and said they were bed bug bites. I recalled telling my daughters not to sit on the sofas without putting a blanket over it, since it did not look clean. But they did not listen to me and instead fell asleep on it reading from a long day of activities. I found my son sleeping on the sofa the next day also, after we went walking and swimming. We are not sure if it's from the sofas, or from the beds but notified the rental property right away. View and location was amazing however.

The vrbo itself was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. The resort amenities were not available. Locked tennis courts, pool unfilled with a fountain in it. Hot tub empty, playground small and outdated. Restuarant closed. Pontoon rentals were not safe sea worthy vessels. Soon after we arrived we discovered the property and resort were struggling financially. Would have preferred this information been disclosed. Should not be listed as a resort.

The property was beautiful inside and out… Clean and plenty of room to spread out. The lawn to the lake was neat and well kept, and the beach was nice with a dock to sit on. We played bocce ball and swam and just enjoyed the property. The neighbor introduced himself and was very nice. Great communication with the owners!

I purchased this townhome from the original owners, as my primary residence for a couple years. Now, I live in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul area), and spend weekends at the townhome as time permits. Thus, the townhome is clean and in good condition. I love the townhome and the peace I feel when I'm there. Often, I see an eagle during my weekend visit, including one sitting on the shoreline directly in front of my townhome. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, traveling and spending time with family & friends.

Why they chose this property

Lake Mille Lacs, the second largest lake in Minnesota, is absolutely breathtaking. It's such a large lake that, at times, you cannot see the other side of the lake and sometimes you can hear the waves against the shore. It's like being near the ocean but it's only 1 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities (so it's much cheaper than getting to the ocean!)
