The house had a great layout, was in the ideal location, and was fully stocked with everything we needed. Everything seemed new, the decor was lovely, and things could not have been easier.

Our FAVORITE time of year

We have stayed at this property two years in a row because it allows my husband and my adult children and their significant others to stay. Plus, we do not have to board our dog which is a significant savings. The property manager is always prompt with replies to questions, and we LOVE the location. The week always goes by too fast!!!

Perfect retreat with the family!!!

This place was amazing and we lived every minute of our stay here!! The house is better than the pictures show! Very open floor plan and the rooms are very spacious! There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. The front porch is great with plenty of seating for all! We spent a rainy morning in the porch watching the rain come down and it was so relaxing! The owner, Joe, was so gracious and kind! He was very accommodating and accessible whenever I needed to text him! The huge yard was a big surprise and great for the dogs and kids alike!! The beds are very comfortable! The place is clean and has everything you will need! We are looking forward to staying again next year! The location of this house was perfect as well! Close to town and to Acadia NP! Couldn’t have asked for anything better!!!

Everything we expected, and more

This was our first VRBO experience, and we hope it's typical. The house is clean and spacious. We like to cook (funny how little of that we did), and the kitchen is well-equipped and has plenty of work surface. We ended every night sitting on the deck. It's a great spot! As for location, you're a brief drive or about a mile walk from downtown Bar Harbor (Note: you pay to park every day in BH, until 9pm. It is not cheap), and I'm not sure you could be much closer to Acadia; by car, we were five minutes or less from several entrances. The owners, Joe and Kim, are great. We ran into one problem with the grill. It was fixed the next day. The few questions we hade were promptly answered. We're already talking about going back!

Amazing Acadia Vacation

We had a great stay at Acadia and this house was fantastic. Plenty of room for our group and it was actually larger in person than it appeared in the photos. It's updated, spacious and clean and on a quiet street. There are two master bedrooms, one handicapped accessible on the main floor, so a total of 3.5 bathrooms which was great. The location was just what we wanted - outside of the hubbub of Bar Harbor, but close enough to get in for dinner or shopping in just a few minutes. Excellent location for Acadia, lots of great trails within a 10 minute drive. The house had a great porch, and there was a nice grill and firepit in the backyard which we took advantage of. The kitchen was well stocked with enough dishes, silverware, pots etc. I have to add that the owner Joseph really went above and beyond. He was very communicative and helped accommodate us with a request before we arrived. Then my non-US living brother lost his passport after we had already checked out and left, and Joseph helped search for it, even offering to go through the trash! I hope I get back to Acadia, it's beautiful, and I would 1000% rent this house again. Thank you Joseph for a wonderful week and going the extra mile for us!

Wonderful!

The perfect place for a Fall family gathering. Everything you need is there. The location is practically walkable to the park. The porch is a great place to spend time. The kitchen is well provisioned. The beds are comfy! Exactly as shown online. Wonderful spacious spot!!

Superb house - for handicapped or not

HOUSE: I could not believe my good fortune when I saw Joe’s listing on VRBO. This wonderful house is more than handicap accessible; it meets ADA standards for space including door widths and fixtures (both bathroom and kitchen). Only the handicap community can truly appreciate what this means. What I wish to emphasize in this review is how great the house is for people who do not need handicap considerations. The place is beautifully designed and appointed. The open living area is more spacious than it appears online and with the big porch easily accommodated the diverse interests of our family of 8. HOST: Joe Cough exceeds expectations: He is easy to reach, responds quickly, and is exceptionally accommodating. Several things beyond his control came up during our stay including a hurricane (house had generator, someone came to lash down porch furniture – no problems) and the water turning brown when town of Bar Harbor flushing the sewer system on a Sunday morning (Joe confirmed with City the safety of water – no problem). Working with Joe was so enjoyable I wish we could return. Our grandson’s wedding brought us to Bar Harbor; however, distance and plane connections make it a difficult choice for a vacation. Joe, would you like to build something similar in Florida?

Fun Hiking Week

This property was a perfect spot to start and end out hiking days, close to downtown bar harbor, close to all of Acadia trails. The property itself was perfect, clean, spacious, had all the amenities one could need. We would definitely rent here again!

Wonderful Acadia Experience

Our family had a lovely stay at this home in Bar Harbor, Maine. There were a few kinks that needed to be ironed out at first; the cable wasn't working and there were bulldozers working on the property that made it dangerous for us to park and go out with the dogs. Once those issues were resolved, we had an incredibly wonderful experience. Our host, Joseph, was gracious and responded promptly to all our requests. We would definitely stay here again!
