Communication leading up to the stay was terrible, but it got better once we checked in. The place was big, though it had a strange layout, with the fireplace in the kitchen area, and a window between two bedrooms. However, it was relatively comfortable with a nice location near town. Bring your own cookware; they are lacking there. Beds were comfortable, and there we plenty of bedding if you get cold. Pet-friendly property, but could use a fenced-in area for pet play. All in all, we would stay there again.

Beds uncomfortable. Front entry was covered with leaves and debris and front porch picnic table and grill were filthy. Not welcoming at all. Fireplace had only a few pieces of wood so we could not use it. All mattresses were old and need replacing. The thermostat was erratic and difficult to maintain accurate temperature. Apparently the owner has not upgraded or made an effort to make the cabin fresher or more welcoming, Basically take the money and run attitude.
Wonderful to get out of the heat and Greer is a beautiful place to do that.

Our little staycation
Communication with hosts was not good . Had to contact VRBO directly because I never received check in details . Bathroom toilet leaked, tried making contact with office and hosts , the problem was never handled the whole weekend. It’s very warm inside the cabin, No AC . (No fans were available) Beds were very uncomfortable . The listing says “newly renovated” but nothing looked Newley renovated . There is a reason there are very limited photos of certain rooms / appliances in the cabin . The rules list “NO pets” but upon arrival discovered lots of pet hair all over the family room / couches and main bedroom with carpet . One family member had to leave due to pet allergies .
We decided to rent a cabin in Greer to stay in cooler temps when the weather was hot in Phoenix. The location was nice and there were beautiful meadows all around. The cabin looks good from the outside, but inside it's a 70's house that needs renovation badly. The kitchen had a harvest gold stove/oven that was obviously original, some flooring was outdated/original, especially the brown/tan high pile carpet in the master bedroom that was popular in the 70's, which also made the bedroom smell a bit musty. It looks like they tried to replace flooring in the dining room, but there were issues since it wasn't level all the way across and there was tape in the shape of an X on the flooring that went from the kitchen to the dining room. The toilet in the master ran constantly so make sure you close the door. I live in a 70's home, so I'm not being snobby about it, but it definitely gave the 70's house feel more so than a cabin feel inside. Also, the upstairs sliding glass door wouldn't latch.
On a positive note, whoever does the decorating did a fabulous job and was able to bring more of a modern rustic feel to the decorations - great job! Also, the couch in the family room was one of the most comfy couches I've ever laid on. It was nice to relax in that room. I also enjoyed sitting on the balcony upstairs.
The stay was just OK overall. I'd probably stay elsewhere next time I'm in Greer.

Nice cabin with plenty of space for our family of 9 but drawbacks in kitchen and washing room
We stayed with our family of 9 in the nice spacious cabin over new year for skying in sunrise. The cabin was clean and we specifically enjoyed the large dining room with a large dinner table that seated all 9 of us. The kids also really liked the gaming room with table soccer. A drawback was the kitchen where there were several pans but not a single large pot for cooking pasta or soup. The only pot was half a gallon and was with teflon that was badly scratched which is dangerous as it will release sunstances that can cause cancer. So we had to drive to Springerville to buy a large cooking pot to be able to cook for the family. The washing machine was leaking and mold had formed behind it and the dryer was not working. It was new but the exhaust went into the ground instead of out the wall so it stopped 1 min after being started as the hot moistured air could not go anywhere. We had contacted the host in advance asking for the access code but got no reply except to check in with cabin butler office upon arrival. We arrived late and was a description pinned at the door of the property managemnt building with acess instructions but we were worried during our drive up that we will arrive after hours and may not get in. It would have been so much better if they would have send us the access code in advance. In summary this was a nice stay but there is room for improvement cc the checkin and maintenance of tge property.rtable soccer
While is is spacious and has lots of places for people to be, the kitchen needs new pans and a new stove. There is only 1 TV in the living room. Heaters in bathrooms work well. Balcony is nice but tricky to get up to with a small, winding staircase. The build-ons to the cabin result in a lot of different floor levels. In a great location for walking.
