Highlights

Welcome to Fleming-O, a three bedroom, two bath home ideally located in desirable Morgantown. You’ll find this cottage just a few steps away from two beach access boardwalks and one of the two community pools. The other pool and the recently resurfaced tennis/pickle ball courts are within easy walking distance. The good news is, you’ll be close enough to see and hear the surf!

The Space

Fleming~O has a newly remodeled kitchen and open floor plan to the living area. The primary suite includes a large bedroom, bathroom, sitting/reading room and private balcony.

You may also look for the Sea Turtles' nests as you look for shells. Ride your bicycle, play tennis or just walk along the beach. Do as much or as little as you want as you enjoy our home.

Sit around the dining table for dinner or family games. The outside shower will cool you off after a day on the beach.

The house also offers a fenced yard and gated deck.

* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. If you have small children or just prefer the convenience of parking close to the beach, there is a public lot just to the west of Morgantown.

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

Your family will also love learning about the adventures of Fort Morgan as they roam the old fort grounds. Take the ferry to Dauphin Island for a day trip. Other area activities include shopping at Tanger Outlet Mall, Waterville USA, Gulf Shores Zoo, riding go carts and playing miniature golf.

Me and my families stay was amazing. The house was beautiful and very clean. Location was the best a very quiet neighborhood and about a 5 min walk to the beach. The house had all the things we needed like beach chairs, umbrellas even a wagon to carry all our stuff to the beach. All you need to bring is your clothes. The property manager was there when and if we needed her. Greeted us upon arrival which was a bonus and If we needed anything she was accommodating to our needs. All in all this family beach vacation was the best yet with how close everything was for us. We will definitely book again and cannot wait to get back to Morgantown!!!!

Dog Friendly Beach Vacation

We had a fabulous week in Morgantown with our dogs. Enjoyed the close access to the beach and the pool. The porch was great to sit and just relax outside. The property was clean and well kept up. Highly recommend!

Last minute Memorial weekend booking

Property is a short walk to the beach. My grandkids and fur baby had a blast. Property mgmt checked in on is to make sure everything was fine and sent us a message about a fireworks show scheduled Sunday night.

Fall break trip

It was our first time to the area. The house worked great for our dog and needs. It helped to have a fence/ gate! The porch was comfortable for sitting and reading. We were close to two beach access spots as well.

a great getaway

This was our first time staying in Morgantown. We enjoyed the development and this house. While there is some wear and tear on the outside, the house was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, the house stayed cool, the washer and dryer worked well, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and clean. We also enjoyed the porch and the fenced in backyard for our dog. Altogether, we are very pleased with our rental. Thank you for a great week at the beach.

Morgantown

Nice house, not the cleanest there was a film of dust on everything you touched possibly due to a very dirty furnace filter. Needs alot of updates and repairs but overall it was a very comfortable and nice place to stay had a whole house all to ourselves. Loved that it was pet friendly and that it had a fenced in yard. We would stay there again.

The dust could have been from the recent painting, sometimes it just takes a couple cleanings to get all the drywall dust up. Great family spring break!

We had an amzing stay in Morgantown on our family spring break. We drove a long way from Kansas City and found the home to be a perfect size for my husband and I and our 3 kids. My 13 year old had his own room and my 2 youngest shared a room with 2 twins. We had our own space and balcony upstairs. The house had a yard which was very convenient because we brought our dog along. the family room had plenty of space for us to enjoy a movie together after a long day at the beach. Beach was a very quick walk from the property and my boys enjoyed playing in the sand and in the waves. It is about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores proper, but there are a few restaurants nearby and a dollar general for all your needs. We loved our stay!

Unpleasant Beach Getaway

The property was very unclean. Stove still had grease on it, shower curtain in lower bathroom had mold on it. Dead roach in same bathroom, used skin ointment tube under nightstand table, ice maker was moldy had to go out and buy a bag of ice. The bed had a huge spot looked urine on it so we turned the mattress so we didn't have to lay right on it. Had to spend an hour after traveling 8 hours cleaning it up. The onsite manager was helpful. But overall this house needs some maintenance work and definetly better cleaning. Sad when the housekeeping fee is so high its still not clean. Will not stay here again, will go back to the property before as was better overall.

We subcontract out our cleaning and provided your feedback to the cleaning company. We offered immediate assistance to send the cleaning company back to address any concerns at your convenience but you refused. Our goal is to make you comfortable for your stay! The unit is on a mandatory pest control program. It was treated in early May which is likely why you saw a dead bug. It's great to hear our property manager was helpful and stopped by right away to assist you. Our property managers are always readily available to assist with any guest needs or concerns. Disappointing Stay

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Fleming " O was at best disappointing. We ended up feeling we had overspent for our stay. The following are the issues we encountered with this rental property:1. Huge roaches in 1st floor bedroom and bathroom. Our grandkids used that restroom and slept in that bedroom.2. 1st floor bathroom toilet very uneasy to sit on - felt as if it was going to come off the wall. Faucet in same bathroom tub/shower was loose on the wall.3. Spray nozzle at kitchen sink loose from the counter. 4. Upstairs TV was apparently not hooked up to whatever system was being used. Could not use. 5. Could not get any local "live" programming news on TV in living room. Come on, for what we paid, there should hve been basic cable or satelite available.6. Shower curtain in 1st floor bathroom was disgusting. Very USED.7. Handles on the BarBque grill lids were not "attached" to the grill lids themselves. Grilled only once after dropping hot lid. These could have been welded!8. Stools at kitchen island were at best an after thought, adults do not need to be sitting on such half assed stools.9. Cloth upholstry was disgusting on the 2 large chairs in living room area. They NEED TO BE THROWN OUT!If asked why we did not address some of these items or all of them, we did not rent a property to have Rental Reps or repair people in and out disrupting our stay to correct issues or make repairs for things that should have already been corrected!All in all, most people would not have expected to find such a "dated" rental property at the price that was charged for that week's rental. We will think long and hard about considering another VRBO rental property.

Gated porches and yard were great for our pets. The two bedrooms downstairs are right off the kitchen and living area so a little noisy for those staying in these bedrooms if you have early risers. The master is upstairs by itself with a small sitting area at the top of the stairs and small balcony. The management company was very responsive when needed.
