Host was great! Property was very enjoyable and large enough that we had plenty of room to spread out. Loved the large kitchen. There were a few things that could be fixed but overall we loved it.
This is our second stay in a few months! This place is perfect for any baseball teams attending tournaments at Lakepoint. It’s 10 min from the field and easy to have Costco/Target/Walmart orders delivered. This place has so much room to host several families- plenty to do to keep everyone occupied and not feel like you are crowded. Pierre is amazing to work with! We had no issues either time we stayed here!
The manager that I CHATTED WITH WAS GREAT. We enjoyed the large open area and large kitchen . Dishwasher needs to be fixed. Kitchen supplied with plenty of cooking items. My sons had some issues with hot tub. For next guest the lock on guest house may need some attention. Thank you. It was a blessed holiday. Hope you have a Merry Christmas. Emily B Campbell
This place is amazing in size, especially for a large group. More than enough space for the group of 12 that stayed. Great pool, great spots outside to enjoy, spacious indoor areas as well. Would book again.
Used the location for filming — management was nice enough to get us in even on short notice. Thankful for their efforts and proud to get another episode completed with the help of the location! Thanks!
The property was great. No issues whatsoever. We used all 10 bedrooms and all of the bathrooms as well as the hot tub. Don't hesitate to stay here. Manager was extremely responsible.
The property was awesome for our family gathering. We had plenty of room and the outdoor pavilion was great for entertaining. The bedrooms were comfortable and the parking was great. Some of the light switches were confusing, but it didn’t affect our stay. The hot tub was enjoyed, however I wish there had been more instruction on how to set it up. Luckily, since we have one, we figured it out easily. I highly recommend this property and may use again for other family gatherings.

Has Potential, But.....
Our group of 16 stayed here over Christmas 2022 during the severe cold snap. The houses and grounds are large, but showing age and deferred maintenance. Heat in the small house was unable to keep up with outside temperatures, due to many issues with windows doors and HVAC status. We also had a septic issue, which was responded to quickly. The grill was not usable due to corrosion and a new one was brought quickly. Hot Tub needed more maintenance. The houses are large, so good for large groups, but we had many issues which were reported to management.
With the right investment, this property could be truly amazing. Unfortunately, our experience fell short in several key areas. The pool was filthy upon arrival—despite the host claiming it had been cleaned two days prior, which seemed highly unlikely given the visible dirt and debris. The cabana area had no power, and the guesthouse lacked hot water.Several of the advertised amenities were unusable: the video games required payment but took our money without working, and some marble/bricked stairs were broken and posed safety hazards. Additionally, there was a camera placed in the gaming area, which also serves as a living space—raising privacy concerns.Attempts to contact the host went unanswered until VRBO intervened. Once he finally responded, he sent household cleaners—not pool professionals. While the individuals were helpful (they cleaned the cabana carpet, which had goose droppings, and helped get the power running), they were not equipped to address the core maintenance issues.Everyone in our group agreed: “If he would just fix what’s broken, we’d absolutely return.” The location is peaceful, spacious, and has great parking—ideal for group stays. But it needs proper care, maintenance, and professional management. At this point, we are still disputing a refund, as the property was not delivered as advertised. It’s a shame, because this place has so much potential.

She is a straight fraud. Can’t please everyone. Karma will catch up to you
We chose this location because they allowed a large group but we paid extra for the event price. I should have known better because I read all the bad reviews. This properties plumbing system can’t handle a large group of people ( we had approx 35 people ) after a few hours the toilet off the kitchen wouldn’t flush without pouring water in the tank. And the water pressure in the house was almost non existent. The location is nice but the heavy spiderwebs in the guest house bathroom, cockroaches in the ice maker, uncomfortable beds, dirty pool (I know it is out of season) multiple cameras inside the property, electrical outlets in the downstairs bathroom that wouldn’t work, excessive amounts of chemicals in the hot tub that gave our group chemical burns on their bodies. The property is large but it desperately needs to be updated and repaired all over. It’s old and run down so we felt like we were deceived because we thought we were renting a luxury property at a premium price and the above mentioned things is what we dealt with. Not worth the price at all

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times
For the past 18 years our family of (now) 16 have rented a VRBO for a week of family vacation/reunion. My husband and I work hard to save our $$ and rent the place for our 3 sons and their wives, 7 grandchildren and my 86 year old mom. The house/guest house had plenty of room for everyone. We loved having a commercial ice-maker, gas stove, and large pantry. The children were in heaven with the large pool and beautiful pond with paddle boat, canoe etc. The guest house was very adequate. The beds and showers seemed clean. Our big problems: the pool was not clean on arrival. We called and Pierre sent two guys to skim it and add chemicals immediately. It cleared up some but still needed to be vacuumed and honestly scrubbed. The pool pavilion is fabulous and we spent most of our time there. Our biggest problem is I’d been seeing very large signs of rats in pantry and elsewhere. On the 4th night a huge rat came from kitchen through the living room! (Rabbit sized)! It went behind the couch and my sons turned couch over and it had gnawed a hole through rug and wooden floor! We called Pierre first thing next a m. (We honestly all were ready to go home) and he sent the guys he’d sent to clean pool to clean and put out traps! Those sleeping downstairs could hear rats in walls. Our children (cousins ages 7-15) didnt want to leave! So we door dashed instead of going inside to eat/cook and enjoyed pool pavilion! We did call it quits one day early and left Friday a m.

Do not stay here!
The upstairs A/C was not working. All indications were that the compressor was broken, but after many hours of back-and-forth with the property manager, she was still convinced it was a thermostat problem. It was very hot and almost impossible to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms. Another A/C problem is that the main floor thermostat also controls the basement temperature. When the main floor is comfortable, the basement is very cold.
The basement has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom is a LONG way from the bedrooms, and there are two dangerous trip hazards (small steps) between them. Any visit to the bathroom at night risks a serious fall.
The light switches are a nightmare. There are half a dozen switches in every room. Sometimes the switch for a room light is actually in the room. but half the time the switch is outside the room. There is no logic to it, and we spent a lot of frustrated time just trying to turn lights on and off.
Due to the miserable lack of functional air conditioning, I requested a 50% refund from the manager. I have gotten no response of any kind, nor any apology for the broken A/C. My family was there for my son's wedding, and I feel I let them down by choosing this rental for us to stay in.

Proceed with caution before booking
This home has a lot of potential but falls short in many areas. Our family stayed at the property for Thanksgiving. We were originally booked to stay 4 nights but forfeited the final night due to ongoing issues and general discomfort with the property. There were roaches found in multiple rooms and within the kitchen ice maker. This doesn’t make for comfortable night’s sleep nor a sanitary place for cooking and eating. The home was not thoroughly cleaned, smelled great, but it was clear that the cleaning crew is not thoroughly cleaning re: roaches in the ice maker. There also appears to be a plumbing issue. Many of the showers, in both the main and guest house, did not properly drain nor did the kitchen sink. The lighting in the main house was also a challenge (also stated in other reviews). Many lights were not working and there were no lights at the kitchen dining table. This made for dark dinners since the sun sets at 5pm. There were outlets in the basement bedrooms that did not work. There was a room in the guesthouse that did not have a door. The built in gas grill presented an extreme safety hazard including damaged burners and a faulty grill trap. The charcoal grill was not cleaned and took a lot of prep work before we could even begin cooking and the handle on the lid is missing a screw causing it to detach. We did reach out the owner to share these issues after our stay and hope they will take the necessary steps to rectify the issues for future guests.

The home is a bit run down and several items that are in need of repair. A great location for our team and the outdoor space is perfect!
10/10- Stayed here a week with 6 families for a baseball tournament and had the best time! This property is spacious and was a huge hit for the 17/18 year old boys with the pool (it has a diving board), pond and the pool table. Pierre was responsive when we had questions and even sent the boys pizza when we arrived as a good luck for the week. 100% we will rebook if we head back to Lakepoint. The place was clean on arrival, we had no issues with bugs (aside from when we were outside), and there are plenty of beds/bathrooms, especially if you book both houses. If you are staying for baseball, I highly recommend setting up deliveries from Costco and Walmart, as this saved us the hassle of dealing with that so we could enjoy the property. This property is a hidden gem!

Beautiful grounds and lots of outdoor space. Upon arrival we discovered a lack of kitchen utensils and cookware. We contacted the owner and they did bring out some more silverware. We also had a major sewer line back up. The owner again came out and corrected the problem within a few hours. We had 12 people. All in all the house was fine, but the kitchen was not really set up for larger groups. Pans were small old and scratched up. Luckily a Walmart was 5 minutes away so we got what we needed.
