The cottage sleeps 6 and is conveniently located 7 miles from Highway 441 and 35 miles from Interstate 20; 20 minutes from Rock Eagle 4-H Camp, 20 minutes from Milledgeville; 15 minutes from the Lake Oconee Village; 30 minutes from Madison; 90 minutes to Augusta; and 90 minutes from Atlanta. The cottage is situated on a 1.35-acre wooded lot in the Crooked Creek Cove area and is known for great fishing. The lot boosts 175 feet of water frontage on a point allowing for the 180 degree views of the lake. You will find a double-boat slip with large deck perfect for sunning and fishing. The dock has a retractable ladder. The community boat ramp is located in our cul-de-sac. The water’s depth at the end of the dock is 8-11 feet with the depth being 25+ feet in the middle of the cove. The cottage boasts a large living area consisting of a kitchen, dinette, and den. The fully stocked kitchen has a gas stove with stylish center island and a panoramic view of the lake. There is no need to bring any additional kitchen or bathroom supplies. We supply everything. Just bring your toothbrush and toothpaste. The master suite has a king-sized bed, master bath, and lake view. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a lake view as well. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a walk-in closet. The rear entrance includes a large area for storage, an extra refrigerator with icemaker, and a washer and dryer. You can find comfortable touches throughout the cottage. A blender, blow dryer, and Keurig coffee maker with k-cups and other coffee fixings are supplied. You will also find spices, an ice cream churn, a complete bar set, plastic and foil wrap, and dish and laundry detergent. One of the most relaxing things to do when at the lake is to have your morning coffee on the front porch while taking in the 180-degree water view. We highly recommend it. There is something very relaxing about viewing water in a quiet setting while watching at the sunrise. Ducks, geese, and blue heron visit the dock frequently. If after drinking your morning coffee you contemplate entertainment possibilities you will find many. Provided is a 55-inch Tru LED LCD HDTV. Dish Network Pay-Per-View movies are available for an additional charge. We have added a Blu-ray player with internet apps. Also provided is wireless, high-speed cable internet. Opportunities for sportsmen include fishing, boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, hiking, kayaking, and swimming. For golfers numerous golf courses are located in the area. For shoppers both Milledgeville and Madison hosts a wonderful, small-town antique shopping experience. The Lake Oconee Village area has many different shopping experiences from retail and clothing shops to spas. Two pet boarding and grooming facilities are available nearby. For art lovers and history buffs we have you covered. The Steffen Thomas Museum of Arts, the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center, and the Plaza Arts Center are a few jaunts to check-out. Milledgeville, Eatonton, and Madison are cities on Georgia’s Antebellum Trail, and the Uncle Remus Museum is located in Eatonton. Movie theaters can be found in Milledgeville and at Lake Oconee Village. The entertainment possibilities are too many to name them all. Whether you seek relaxation, entertainment, or both we hope this lakeside cottage peaks your interest. We will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
