This house and surrounding property is stunning, and walking into calming diffusers and music was such a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed our time at the house, in the nearby Three Rivers, and in Sequoia/King's Canyon National park.
This house was a perfect oasis to get away from city life, and was a great base camp for our day exploring Sequoia National Park. The decor is incredibly beautiful. A/C worked well and pool was refreshing- both important features when it hits 110 degrees out! We will definitely be back.
From the minute we walked in the door…we were in heaven! We all felt like we walked into my mother’s home with the vintage vibe…but modern, zen-like, and every detail thoughtfully coordinated. The kitchen was perfect…the bedding heavenly…the pool glorious…I would change nothing! Communications with Kelly were timely, helpful, and so pleasant! Our adult daughter described our stay as magical…could not agree more. We will return and only tell our favorite people about this lovely home!
Beautifully maintained property and very well appointed. Clearly, this place is a labor of love. We so enjoyed our time in three rivers mostly because of this house. It smelled and sounded like a spa when we walked in, which set the tone. I took pictures of all the amazing linens and have even already purchased the waffle bedspread that was in the primary bedroom!
My favorite VRBO I've ever stayed at. Meticulously and beautifully curated, with no detail overlooked, this home was so comfortable and you can tell the owners have taken into consideration EVERY detail to make sure the traveler's needs are fulfilled and then some.
The perfect base after adventuring in Sequoia. The views from the backyard are gorgeous, and the pool was the perfect treat after a long day in the park. We felt right at home and can't wait to come back! 100% will be back.

About the host
Hosted by Kelly McCullough
Hello! We’re Kelly and John, local hosts in Three Rivers, where we’re raising our kids and caring for the homes we share with guests. We love creating comfortable, memorable stays and hope you enjoy discovering the special details of this place.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood offers the best of both worlds: easy access to town for coffee, meals, and groceries, and a peaceful setting surrounded by foothills and mountain views. It feels private and serene, with a welcoming, safe community that makes it easy to settle in and unwind.
What makes this property unique
This home is a rare mid-century gem built in 1966, and it has been thoughtfully cared for to preserve its original character while making it exceptionally comfortable for modern stays. From the moment you arrive, it feels different from a typical rental , warm, grounded, and intentionally designed to be lived in, not just slept in.
What truly sets the home apart is its layout. The three-bedroom design offers excellent separation and privacy, while the open living and dining areas make it easy to gather, relax, and spend meaningful time together. Whether you’re traveling as a family, a couple, or a small group, the flow of the space allows everyone to feel comfortable and at ease.
The outdoor amenities elevate the experience year-round. In summer, the private pool becomes the heart of the stay, perfect for swimming, lounging, and slow afternoons under the sun. In cooler months, many guests love using the pool for refreshing cold plunges before warming up in the cedar barrel sauna. The sauna is especially popular after long days exploring Sequoia National Park or simply as part of a daily reset ritual.
Unlike many rentals, this home sits in a safe, peaceful neighborhood surrounded by open land and foothill views, offering a sense of calm and privacy while still being just minutes from town. You can easily grab groceries, coffee, or dinner before heading into the park, then return to a setting that feels serene and removed from crowds.
Finally, the home reflects its artistic roots. Original artwork and mid-century details remain throughout the space, creating a lived-in, soulful atmosphere that guests consistently comment on. Combined with thoughtful hosting, quality linens, and carefully chosen amenities, the result is a stay that feels personal, relaxed, and genuinely special, a place guests return to again and again.
