I grew up in this neighborhood 35 years ang and it was a joy to return and spend time in the woods that I once ran around in. Great property. Great communication.
Mitch was awesome to work with and so responsive. The property was even nicer than the photos portray. Everything was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. I will definitely rent again whenever we return to the area!
This cozy house is only 10 minutes from Bucknell but feels nestled in the woods. Just the right amount of space for our group of 4 adults. Main floor has 2 bedrooms, one full bathroom and an open kitchen/dining/living room space that accommodated a group of 12 for brunch comfortably. Oven worked great. My bad back didn’t love the queen bed in the master suite but no one else complained. Didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit or hot tub but they looked nice. Would recommend it if needing a clean, convenient place to stay near the college.
A cozy cabin tucked away in the hills near Lewisburg, Pa. Loved the hot tub! It had an interesting kind of retro vibe with a Barbara Streisand record hanging on the wall. I highly recommend this property!
This property is absolutely stunning. We had a great time and made lasting memories. We visited with family, ate great food and enjoyed our time together.
This is the 2nd time we stayed at Cottonwood Hollow. We love that we feel we are in the middle of nowhere and yet the Bucknell campus is less than 2 miles away! The property is spotless and the double height windows allow for easy wildlife viewing. It has all the comforts of home away form home!
Traveled with family for a wedding. Everything about the house was perfect. Clean, quiet, stocked with amenities like coffees & creamers which was a nice touch. Communication with the host was great. Would definitely recommend & would stay again!
The description is perfect - it's a very cozy cabin in a private wooded area. The property was clean and comfortable with beautiful views. The owners were nice to work with and we had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely return!
Mitch’s property is perfectly tucked away, yet close enough to all conveniences so you don’t feel alienated from civilization. Communication was great from beginning to end and overall this was an amazing space that felt just like home away from home.
Our family had a wonderful stay in this lovely home. The house and yard were pleasant and inviting. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the screened in porch a great gathering spot. The dining area was ample for our group of eight.
All of the communication with our host was easy and response time was quick.
The house is situated in a secluded area, but is just a couple of turns off the main highway. The nearby communities offer a wide range of activities and stores.
We highly recommend this property and hope to return again.

This was our second time at this property. We had a wonderful stay in 2024 and were eager to return. We discovered some changes that were great - added lighting at the fire pit area was wonderful. We also found some concerning things:1. Smoke detector in kitchen was missing and unit in the upstairs bedroom did not have a blinking red light, indicating the battery wasn't working. We went to the store and bought two portable units. (Later, we discovered the basement unit was hanging from the ceiling by wires so we didn't know if that worked.)2. Odd smell in house, reduced by opening windows but never dissipated. We began developing sneezing, headaches, sore throats, initially attributed to outside pollen. After the furnace came on overnight (temperature down to 43 outside, so pre-set temp on heating unit was triggered), we realized the smell from the heat vents was very strong. We discovered the basement had standing water over a drain, indicating the drain was plugged. There was visible black mold around the basement wall edge, on a rug, and some on the ceiling where there may have been a previous leak. We noticed a basement toilet full of dark brown water and, near that, mushrooms growing on the floor. At the time, we didn't realize how much of a problem this was and tried to keep airing the house and stay outside as much as possible. More than half of our group left early and, in retrospect, we all should have notified VRBO and all left immediately.
Super clean and cute place to stay with lots of extra amenities. Owner was very responsive to requests. We went with kids and grandkids to Knoebels, which was about 35 minutes away, and then to Reptileland. Explored some of the breweries. Highly recommend!
This property was beautiful inside and out. The decor was so cute and looked just like the pictures. It was clean, spacious, and had amazing views. My favorite parts were the fairy lights in the bedrooms and the windows. Mitch was responsive to my questions. We were so sad to leave and hope to return soon!
Mitch the owner has great communication. He answered all my questions quickly and the process was smooth. Checkin was easy. The property was clean, well kept, and had all the basic amenities. Nice place to stay in the woods while still close to civilization. Highly recommended.
From beginning to end, the process was flawless. The home is very comfortable, well appointed, gives you the feeling your home. Thank you Mitch for the experience.
From start to finish, there were no questions. All communications were professional and timely. We traveled up the East Coast to be with our extended family and this was a great home base when we weren’t at my parent’s or sister’s homes. Clean and comfortable. Thanks! We will return.
We stayed here for Bucknell graduation weekend. It served our needs perfectly. It’s a secluded property within minutes of Bucknell and Lewisburg. The home accommodated our family well and provided a much nicer setting than we would’ve had with multiple hotel rooms. Communication with Mitch, the host, was very easy.
This home was great for our needs of visiting Bucknell. It fit the 5 of us comfortably. The beds were very comfortable. The coffee provided was amazing. The communication was remarkable.. Thanks again.

What makes this property unique
Cottonwoodhollow is a very secluded setting but still within five minutes from downtown Lewisburg and Bucknell College. Despite being all by itself in the woods it’s still only a five minute drive to many attractions, from the campus theater, to bull run tap house, street of shops, the miller center, and much more.
