This beautiful 2-story home + guest house is located right on Lake Murray in Gilbert, SC! This custom built home has rustic wood accents, new furnishings, and scenic views, the perfect destination to make memories with the family.
Main House

The open concept living space has a fully stocked kitchen. Custom wood cabinets, granite countertops, ample counter space, and stainless steel appliances make this kitchen the perfect place to whip up a home cooked meal or to set out snacks for the family. There is a L-shaped bar-height ledge with stools that provide extra dining or seating space adjacent to the living area. There is also a dining room with seating for 8.
The living room is past the kitchen with a sofa, reclining chair, and a beautiful stone fireplace (not for guest use) that serves as the focal point for the room. It is equipped with a Samsung SmartTV where you may log into your personal streaming apps and accounts to enjoy your favorite shows and movies.
French doors in the living room lead to the enclosed sunroom. This space has a conversation set with a loveseat, coffee table, and two side chairs along with a tall table that can be used for cocktails or remote work with two seats overlooking the lake. Another set of French doors lead to the outdoor patio space with multiple tiers of entertaining space leading towards the water and dock.
The second floor loft showcases chalet-style windows and presents a stunning view of the lake. This space can be used in many different ways; to relax in the provided rocking chair, lay out a yoga mat to meditate, or to escape the rest of the group and watch TV. Kids will love this as a “Sleepover” space! Just unzip the 3 bean bags and pull out the foam mattresses! Bonus that the two primary bedrooms are on this same floor, so parents can stay “tuned in”!
The guest house is located at the front of the driveway as you drive onto the property. The garage space itself is not accessible to guests. The single-room studio-style Guest House above the garage has two full sized beds as well as a full sized bathroom with stand-up shower. The Guest House also has a kitchenette area with a sink and mini refrigerator. The Guest House is not attached to the Main House and is set back towards the road, making it a very private and quiet retreat. (A great space for older teens!). This area does not have wifi.
The backyard is the perfect place to make lots of memories with your family. There are 3 tiers of decking with plenty of resort-style outdoor furniture, allowing for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake view and abundant wildlife, even while on dry ground. There is an outdoor fireplace, lounge furniture, a dining set, conversation set, and a charcoal grill (BYO charcoal) for guest use. The dock that leads right out onto Lake Murray where you may rent a boat from a local rental shop or use the swim ladder to take a dip with your family. You may also bring your own boat and launch right from the backyard if you so desire.
No pets allowed. The owner uses the home regularly and has severe allergies. Please plan on leaving your pets at home if making a reservation here, no exceptions.
We do not allow parties or gatherings above the listed maximum guest occupancy of 10 people. This is to prevent conflict or disruption to our neighbors and so we do not overtax the water and septic system. Please follow quiet hours, especially outdoors between 9PM-8AM every day of the week. Our neighbors deserve the right to peace and privacy at their homes and property as well, please do not trespass onto their property. Only respectful and courteous guests allowed.
We are very close to the water - expect to see wildlife including bugs, lizards, birds, turtles, raccoons, squirrels, and the occasional deer. Regular pest treatments are done both inside and out but it is very easy for pests to slip into the house if doors or windows are left open.
Please note that there used to be large umbrellas at the property and they are no longer functioning. They have been removed.
There is a doorbell camera at the front entry and a camera at the rear facing the lake, dock and rear dock/patio, both cameras are actively recording. There are no cameras inside, only the two on the exterior. Tampering with the cameras will result in cancellation without refund.
This property is available to family groups, married couples, or responsible adults age 25 and older. We do not allow rentals to high school or college groups, fraternities, sororities, or unrelated young adults under 25.
Parties, events, or large gatherings are strictly prohibited. Special events are NOT permitted at this property.
Any reservation made under false pretenses will result in denied access or immediate eviction without refund.
Maximum occupancy of 8 guests and the vehicle limit of 5 are strictly enforced. Exceeding these limits is grounds for immediate removal without refund, and guests may be charged for associated damages or violations. Absolutely no on-street parking is allowed in the neighborhood.
The property manager is authorized to remove guests and their belongings if these terms are violated, and anyone refusing to vacate when asked will be considered a trespasser after notice.
The property has unlocked access to the pool and lake frontage. Guests are responsible for their children. Children must be properly supervised at all times, especially around the pool, lake, and hot tub. Children are not allowed in the pool without an adult present. Babies must wear a snug-fitting diaper under their swimsuit.
Swim at your own risk – there is no lifeguard on duty. No rough play in the pool, including pushing, dunking, or wrestling. No diving allowed in the pool due to its shallow depth or off the dock. Running on the pool deck is prohibited. Eating, drinking, or chewing gum is not allowed in the pool or hot tub. Glass bottles and items are not permitted on the pool deck. Do not swim under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Swimsuits are required at all times in the pool and hot tub. Please remove any bobby pins or hairpins before entering the pool or hot tub to avoid clogging the filter. Do not throw rocks or other objects into the pool or hot tub, as they may damage the bottom.
Only guests of the property are permitted to use the pool or access the property. Before entering the pool or hot tub from the lake, please rinse off to remove contaminants. An inverted shower is provided next to the hot tub for your convenience. Shoes are required on the dock at all times. Pets are not permitted in the pool area or on the property. Limit your time in the hot tub to 15–20 minutes to prevent overheating. Always secure the umbrella when not in use.
No parking on grass outside of the driveway area. The driveway accommodates a maximum of 5 vehicles. Please do not park or leave vehicles on the street.
Respect the neighbors and keep the noise level down at all times. No fireworks on the property. No charging electric vehicles on the property. Please rinse off toys, floats, and yourselves of lake water before entering the pool. Do not go underneath the house and avoid touching the pool pump or electrical boxes.
Disclosure: We are not liable for any injuries or harm that may occur on the premises. By renting this home, you acknowledge and assume the risks associated with the property and its activities (including swimming, using the firepit, stairs, etc.), and you agree to release the owner from any liability for injuries that may result from participation in these activities.
Quiet hours are from 10PM until 8AM every day of the week. We have zero tolerance for noise complaints. Please be mindful of all neighbors.
No parties, events, or gatherings over the listed occupancy is allowed at any time.
No smoking inside of the home under any circumstances. You will incur an additional fee of $500 if you smoke within the home + the cost of any damages. If you smoke outdoors you must dispose of any debris safely, do not discard anything in the yard or patio.
Pets are strictly NOT allowed in this home. If there is evidence of any undisclosed pets in the home, you will be charged $250 for cleaning + any additional damages.
If the house is left in a state that requires additional cleaning, we will charge a fee via Airbnb's Resolution Center that covers our costs.
The boat ramp/slip is strictly off limits to guests for use. Boats must be put in the water at a boat ramp like Lake Murray North Recreational Dam or Jake's Landing. If there is evidence that vehicles were on the grass, we will charge a fee via Airbnb's Resolution Center that covers our costs.
Early check in and late check out for up to 2 hours is available per calendar availability, at an additional cost of $50. This must be requested through your boarding pass, and we will approve / decline after reviewing our cleaning schedule.
Pack n plays and highchairs are available for rent and must be requested through your boarding pass. These are first come, first serve. We will deliver them to the house
