Guest Access:
As our guest, you'll have full access to the entire property, except for a few areas reserved for house supplies. Plus, as part of the Big Bear resort, you can enjoy fantastic community amenities, including:

▷ Clubhouse
▷ Exercise room
▷ Recreation facilities
▷ Outdoor pool (10 AM - 10 PM)
▷ Indoor pool & hot tub (10 AM - 10 PM)

Parking around Big Bear Resort is generally available, but it can feel a bit tight — kind of like city parking, especially during busier times. Each unit is allowed one parking spot in the lot at the bottom of the hill. The spots aren't assigned, but there's usually enough for everyone staying in the complex.

If you have more than one vehicle, there's "Excess Parking" nearby, plus a few extra spots in front of and behind the condo buildings up the hill. No trailers or motorhomes unless they can fully fit into a standard-sized parking space.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is a fantastic blend of convenience, mountain charm, and resort-style amenities. Located within Big Bear Resort, this area is perfect for those looking to enjoy the best of Pigeon Forge while still having a peaceful retreat in the Smoky Mountains.

▶︎ Please click "Show Host Guidebook" or visit my profile and check out our guidebook for must-visit spots. Hope you love exploring the Smokies!

Getting Around:
The drive is easy — just a half mile off the Parkway in a developed area. Unlike remote cabins with steep, winding roads, this location is much more accessible. The only challenge is a steep switchback at the neighborhood entrance, but most cars handle it fine. In icy conditions, it could be tricky until plows have salted the road.

Very cozy :)

I loved this "cabin!" Having your own balcony and hot tub was amazing. You get the cabin feel while being close to the city and Gatlinburg. While there isn't parking directly outside this unit, it was not far down the way. It was very nice, perfect couples getaway.

Poor communications. The host declined to answer a question about early check in. The email said if we wanted early check in, we should ask the host, WHICH WE DID TWICE. The fireplace wouldn't work, but that was a small annoyance. The hot tub was GREAT. The place is definitely due for a bit of a remodel, but we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property

This property was perfect. Pictures were updated to show exactly what the cabin had to offer. It was the perfect size for the two of us. I got this trip for my boyfriends birthday gift and we loved every bit of the trip. We were minutes away from everything! I look forward to booking with Larry in the future! A privacy fence for the hot tub would've been the icing on the cake! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay during a weekend trip!

Simple, Great location, Hot Tub with a View

Perfect spot for our family of 4. Kroger is right down the hill making it easy to stock up on food and supplies and not fight traffic in Pigeon Forge. Very central to tons of attractions. We loved the hot tub on the deck overlooking the city. 😍 Great communication from the owners as well! Some things that could be improved were the couch- it’s very worn and flaking so it got all over if it was sat on and it would stick to my kids skin. The pull out mattress was really thin with the metal bar being felt when laying on it. Also, it was super slick trying to get from the hot tub to the shower because there is one main rug in the living room and that’s it. The indoor pool was closed during our stay which was also stinky since we had 2 kiddos looking forward to swimming, but that’s no fault of the owners obviously. For the price though, these things wouldn’t hold us from rebooking in the future.

Overall good place to stay but perception is not reality

I'm giving this a four-star rating (3.5 really) because the pictures and description were a bit misleading to me. The place itself is great...very clean and cozy. What you don't get in the pictures is that this is the bottom level of a two-unit building and it sits in the middle of a multiple unit complex. We had to deal with foot stomps from the folks staying in the unit above us and it was annoying and surprising since my perception was one of a free-standing cabin. Thankfully they were not "home" too much of the time otherwise it would have been much worse than it was. I just wish the description had been more forthcoming. There are really no mountain views...definitely not what you expect when "in the mountains". The unit is not too far up from a main road but you are in some trees. I will also add that if you want to watch movies or football, there are very few HD channels so much of what you want to see is hard to watch in analog mode. On a more positive note, Larry is great to work with and logistics communications were excellent.

Aweful !! Hard to park, long walk to cabin, rotten and loose rails & stairs. Absolutely no view and loud traffic. Ive been going to the smokey mountains since i was a kid and this was the worst place ive ever stayed. Thank goodness the price was reasonable. If it was any higher it would be a rip off. The toilet was leaking when you flushed it from around the seal. I told the host about it, and they said, don't worry about it.They'll fix it later...it had an odor for 3 days definitely a 2 out of 10. If you have any kind of handicap or health problems or small children, I would not recommend this cabin...

Overall decent stay, spent 5 days here, first of all very confusing lay out of property, parking was especially tight (due to bigger truck) have to literally walk a very steep hill to get to the cabin (not their fault) but was annoying to have to sit outside cabin for over 15 minutes trying to reach out to host to get into the cabin (this shouldn’t have been an issue) once inside the cabin it wasn’t terrible as someone who travels a lot I have seen worse, though it does call for an update, couch was worn and you can tell, it was decently clean there was dust build up in some places but overall was not bad, hot tub was great my kid loved it. Biggest complaint I have with the cabin is that for a 4 night 5 day stay was we only got 3 towels to make do for the entire trip!? Also no washer or dryer in cabin or really anywhere near the cabin so that was a disappointment as well. Did hear the people upstairs a lot but that’s not the host fault. Overall not a bad stay just need some minor touch ups on some things.

I loved that the location is very close to where ever you want to go in the Piegon Forge area. 2 blocks away from the main road in Piegon Forge. If you are sensitive to noise just be aware the cabin may be located on the bottom of another multi level unit. Although we had no complaints about the people that stayed above us, if someone with small kids that run around, I see where it could be a bother. The cabin was really clean and easy to access. Hot tub did not have enough water inside to usable, however we didn't come for the cabin hot tub.

Enjoyable stay

This property is in a great location and is well maintained. The grill was great and we enjoyed grilling dinner on the back deck. Bringing in luggage was a tad bit difficult as there is no parking in front of the property. You must park slightly away from the properties front entrance. You then walk up a steep hill to the property and down a flight of stairs. This is a lower level of a cabin that has another cabin on top. Not an issue as long as the people on top walk quietly.....and doesn't drop anything.

About the host

Host profile image
I’ve always loved traveling and discovering new places—so becoming a host just felt like a natural fit. I really enjoy creating comfortable, welcoming spaces where guests can relax and feel at home. Whether you're here to explore or just unwind, I'm excited to help make your stay a great one!

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it's right in the heart of Pigeon Forge, but still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. It's in a super convenient spot — you're just minutes from all the action on the Parkway, like Dollywood, The Island, and tons of restaurants and shops, but you still get those quiet mountain vibes when you come back to the unit.

What we enjoy most is how easy it is to enjoy both nature and fun. You can wake up and enjoy your coffee on the balcony with the mountain breeze, and then be at a dinner show or riding a coaster in no time. Plus, the resort itself is well-kept and walkable, with great views and a cozy, friendly atmosphere. It’s the best of both worlds!

What makes this property unique

It is the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and a little bit of charm you don’t find just anywhere. Whether it’s the cozy layout, the peaceful surroundings, or the thoughtful touches we’ve added throughout, guests always tell us it feels like a true home away from home. Plus, the location makes it super easy to explore all the local favorites without being stuck in the middle of the crowds. We’ve tried to create a space that’s welcoming, relaxed, and just a little special—something you’ll remember long after your trip.
