About this property
Sunny cheerful home w great deck and large private yard
Sunny, cheerful 3BR home on quiet, dead end street. Large, lovely deck for lounging, cocktails and dining with private yard. 1 bedroom and half bath downstairs, 2 bedrooms with full bath upstairs. AC units in 2 bedrooms, dining room and living room. Approximately 1 mile to bustling waterfront, restaurants and shops.
Stroll through Bristol's historic district with its elegant homes and gardens, visit the the Herreshoff Marine Museum, and take a short drive Blithewold Mansion and Gardens near the edge of town. Take a picnic lunch to Colt State park for a day at the beach where there are lovely shaded grounds to take cover if the midday sun proves too much. Hop on the East Bay Bike path at Hope Street and run or bike on this pristine path as it winds through state parks and follows the coast all the way to Providence. Or, maybe just to Del's famous frozen lemonade in Warren!
Take a drive (approx 14 miles) to historic Newport where one can stroll along the 3.5 mile cliff walk and view the "summer cottages" of the Vanderbilt's and Astor's along with other Gilded Age mansions. If you are a car aficionado be sure to check out the Newport Car Museum in Portsmouth, it is along the road to Newport and will not disappoint. (Do not be deceived by the industrial looking building, it is truly a hidden gem!)
If you are lucky enough to be in Bristol on the fourth of July, you'll join the town in celebrating the longest continually running 4th of July parade in the nation. Summer is better in Bristol. Wish you were here :)

About the host
Hosted by Ray and Deborah Drzymala

I was born in Stuttgart, Germany to a military family and traveled all over the world including 4 countries and 5 states during my father's military career. I started off working my way through high school and college in the restaurant industry, moved on to a career in fashion in NYC, followed by a career in the Technology industry out of Hawaii and am now a Managing Principle for a Architecture firm specializing in Healthcare.
We love to meet people, cook epic dinners for friends and family, I design and make clothes for my wife, remodel houses and love cars and dogs.
My wife grew up in Gloucester, MA and we met on Maui after I graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder while deciding what to do with my life. We then packed up and moved to Manhattan for almost 10 years where we both worked in the fashion industry. We moved back to Hawaii to be with family and friends I grew up with but after almost 10 years there we moved to Boulder, Colorado where I got into Architecture and Deborah continued to work in the Healthcare Industry. Her brother Glenn lives in Bristol with his wife Jayne and we fell in love with it the first day we were there visiting, plus we miss the ocean

Why they chose this property
This house has such a good vibe about it; it just gives you a relaxed and peaceful feeling immediately upon entering. It is located on a dead end street with everything you would want to enjoy either a family vacation or a romantic getaway. The neighbors are awesome and they take pride in being good, down to earth people who will drop whatever they are doing to lend a hand. The property is actually located in Bristol(as advertised) and is a 15 minute walk to the waterfront, downtown, shops and restaurants. It is approximately a five minute bike ride to the waterfront and less than 10 minutes to the bike path.
What makes this property unique
The property has a huge deck that gets shady in the afternoon. It is close enough to the waterfront to walk but far enough away to be really quiet. The bedrooms are set up for privacy and each floor has a bathroom. The bike path in town gives you access to 3 towns and 5 state parks including Colt State Park.
