IT IS LOCATED IN A FAMILY AREA, THIS IS NOT A LOUD, PARTY ZONE.

Great old school beach cottage in beautiful Kill Devil Hills. This one is not your typical beach box home. It has all the character of the fine homes built on the outer banks years ago. Knotty pine walls, floors, and ceilings are absolutely breathtaking. This home is located near milepost 10 which is almost middle of the outer banks ocean area. This area may also be refered to as the OBX (outer banks). You are close to EVERYTHING. 5 minute walk to the beach (across the street). 5 minutes to Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Wright Brothers Memorial. A great day trip would be to drive down the beach and really see the best that the outer banks has to offer. Short drive through the Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Hatteras areas takes you to the ferry and a 30 minute trip over to Ocracoke. This would really be an incredible day trip adventure.

Home has 3 full bedrooms (2 are extremely Over-Sized), 1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 1 double, and a Bunk bed that sleeps 3. Two full baths and and over sized outside shower as well. Pet friendly. Non-Smoking.

We provide comforters, pillows, and blankets but guests are required to bring their own sheets, towels, linens, and toiletries.

So lucky to snag this house!

Check in was simple, received a key and note in the mail from the homeowner who also verified we received it. We had previously stayed in hotels and were looking for something more cost effective that would accept pets. I was not sure we would find a place to rent in a short time, but so glad we did. The location is awesome, close to everything and only 1 block down and a block up to public access. The house was great, it was clean, beds are good, kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and the homeowner Hal was attentive. Looking forward to future stays!

The location of this property is great and communication with the host is wonderful. Host even helped us with the return of property that we left behind. The check in was a bit awkward in that we received one single key in the mail(no keypad) which we had to hide outside and then mail back after our stay. The cleaners were so/so but the house is in need of a deep clean and some repairs. While the house itself is charming, the furniture is worn and needs cleaning. With a little TLC this could be an amazing property!

The day we closed on this property didnt seem real to either one of us. Now our kids Seth and Monica love it as much as we do. We usually try to get one week per year here as a family but enjoy sharing it with others thru VRBO!

This location is one of the best kept secret beaches in the world. Extremely friendly people, wide, non crowded beaches, and dozens of great places to eat.

What makes this property unique

Very close to the ocean but not on beach road or bypass which cuts down on traffic noise. Master has balcony with ocean views.
