We had a great stay! The house was comfortable and homey, in part thanks to all the sweet touches that Brenda has throughout the house. Fast communication and great location close to lots of attractions.
An excellent property, well stocked, clean, and close to everything. Would stay here again next time we are in the area. Every amenity has been thought of by the owners. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay.
This was our second atay at this property. It was great since we have friends and family in Albany and Troy. It was private, clean and very convenient.

We booked this beautiful home while visiting family attending the University at Albany. The house was very cozy and welcoming. Brenda and family went above and beyond to ensure our stay was terrific.
We were glad to find accommodations close to RPI for our daughters graduation. Brenda thinks of everything, very thoughtful and we especially appreciate the bottled water. Thank you!
We had a great stay visiting our son in college. The house had all the comfort and space for everyone to relax. We also appreciated the goodies and extra touches by the host which made us feel welcome.
The Other House is a cute and quirky place where we instantly felt at home. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked as if all our needs were anticipated. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Capital Region. The backyard hill is a little steeper than the photos make it out to be, so throwing the ball with the pup was not possible.
Wonderful home away from home. Comfortable and furnished. On a dead end street with plenty of privacy. Brenda was a wonderful host, would recommend this pet friendly spot to anyone who is visiting Troy. No complaints 5 stars!
We had a great stay here. Our hosts are amazing and very thoughtful. Wonderful hospitality ; we felt welcome immediately. The hosts thought of everything we might need. We ordered De Fazios pizza which is right around the corner. Thanks again.
The property was quaint and comfortable. The owner was very attentive and accommodating. We would stay longer if we could have but the property was not available, understandably so.
beautiful older house with great lines. nicely furnished with all the right touches and a good number of rooms. only drawback was it was a little dirty. hostess seemed like a very nice person and gave me good and accurate information
We arrived and didnt know what to expect. Everyone proceeded to choose the room that seemed to just fit. We enjoyed the opportunity to sit fireside and plan our days and even had a cook out. Nobody had any complaint about the house. If it were my property i would suggest a no shoes policy. I cant think of any other place i would prefer to stay . It was safe, the neighbors were very nice and our host was the best. Thank you for everything.

About the host
Hosted by Brenda Berraz-Cole
Phil is a drafting engineer that works in Albany. Originally from Buffalo. Go Bills! Brenda is a nurse and a Real Estate Salesperson with Keller Williams. We have 2 children. We live locally here in Troy. We have owned the home since 2004. We personally lived in the home for 12 years. We are close to many of our neighbors and look out for one another. We love the home and could not sell, we simply outgrew the home. After some experiences being landlords we decided to try being hosts. We know that there must be decent people out there that would respect our home.
Why they chose this property
We are the last house on a dead end street. We are minutes from downtown and Albany. Close to everything and three floors of living space. Able to make big dinners, grill and bake. Pet friendly. Great price for the value. Please check out our reviews, Very few whole houses to rent.
What makes this property unique
Wooded area but city living. Please note we do not charge a cleaning fee as we feel it is part of the business. Also, we do not charge a pet fee because pets are part of the family
