Portero area is a beautiful place a few steps from the beach and 10 minutes by car from the most beautiful beaches of Guanacaste such as Playa Flamingo, Conchal, Playas Danta and Dandita located in the Complex El Pueblo las Catalinas a beautiful place European style, where lovers of hiking and mountain biking can visit the beautiful trails that the property has and observe the wonderful landscape from the mountain, if you do not have a bicycle in Pura Vida Ride you can rent one. In the Las Catalinas complex you can enjoy the two restaurants open to the public La Limonada on the beach and Pots & Bowls.
You will find the best restaurants in the area and different supermarkets to do your shopping and right at the entrance there is a fruit stand where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables every day. It is a very safe area, but you always have to be aware to avoid inconveniences.
It is always good to have a car or golf cart, among the supermarkets we have Super Massai before reaching the crossing to Surfside on the main road, “El Merkado” Supermarket is the closest to Surf Side Town and the Drugstore is right over there next to it.
