Casa Linda Vista is tucked into beautiful wooded surroundings offering seclusion with spacious, clean accommodations set back a few hundred yards off the northwest end of Playa Grande. The 3 acre property borders the Las Baulas National Park and the excellent surf breaks at Playa Grande a short few minutes walk away.

Casa Linda Vista is ideal for those seeking tranquility, comfort and easy access to a wide variety of leisure activities. You can choose to prepare meals at home or dine in more than a dozen local restaurants.

Connect with nature! Monkeys, iguanas, birds, cool breezes and pretty views. It is private, quite and secure. It is only seconds to the beach, restaurants, small market and the laid back village of Playa Grande. We are very close to everything. The houses are affordable, fully equipped, clean and comfortable. It's truly a peaceful getaway at Casa and Casitas Linda Vista.

CASA LINDA VISTA: The main house, which is the largest of 3 fully equipped houses, is a 2 story, 2 bedroom with panoramic ocean and mountain views that is perfect for small and large families or groups. Native woods and volcanic rock have been used throughout the house. There are 2 tiled bathrooms and a large, fully equipped kitchen. Wrap around screened windows bring in the cool breezes and give the feeling of sleeping in the treetops. Relax on the balcony and watch the sunset into the Pacific Ocean. The large Casa Linda Vista will sleep from 2 up to 8 people .

Great spot to stay in Playa Grande

Casa Linda Vista was a great place to stay for our family in Playa Grande. Very private and serene, walking distance to the beach, on a hill with nice views and ocean breezes. Kai was a great host and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place!

We loved our stay here! Spacious, comfortable, great outdoor area. We liked being able to walk to the beach and out to eat. We saw howler monkeys on the property, and enjoyed visiting with the host. Would stay here again.

Peaceful Oasis in Playa Grande

Our group loved Casa Linda Vista! Really close to the beach, but also private and secluded. We watched birds and monkeys every morning. Tons of vegetation. Incredibly peaceful. Property owner is incredibly helpful and kind. Can't wait to return!

A quiet and peaceful oasis

The house was as advertised. Carefully built to maximize airflow and the option to use 6 additional ceiling fans for extra cooling.Kai has developed a beautiful climate-appropriate landscape that attracted many varieties of birds that we hadn’t seen before. Reasonably easy walk to and from the beach every day. A short but very enjoyable stay!

Perfect place

We( 2 adults and 5 kids from 8 months to 12 years old) had a wonderful time in the House. We especially loved the concept of the house which always gave us the feeling of being with the nature. We often had breakfast together with the lovely monkeys in the surrounding trees. The close by beach is also perfect for kids. We would highly recommend this house.

Absolutely amazing

The location of this property is like staying in your own piece of paradise. Located close to an amazing beach the Casta offers a secluded place to relax in the presence of monkeys, and a variety of tropical plants and birds. Thanks to Kia and his staff for providing a wonderful experience.

Beautiful home on lush grounds near the beach

Playa grande is a beautiful spot and a mellow alternative to busy Tamarindo . We had a wonderful stay at Kai’s home which is on two acres of lush grounds overlooking the ocean. We loved the monkeys and iguanas, birds and lizards, the easy walk to the beach and Kai’s wonderful hospitality - anything we needed he was there to help; he had great local recommendations . The house was spacious for the four of us and close to both the beach and restaurants . Would definitely stay again!

All good except there is no air conditioning... in 90 degree weather fans didn't help much.Lovely house otherwise... know the stairs are steep to get to the bedrooms.

Very nice

Kai was very responsive, accommodating. I had not rented a car, but I was able to get a ride from hm to pick up needed supplies during my stay. The property was in a good location and walking distance to restaurants and a small convenience/grocery store.

Amazing vacation, wonderful property!

You won't regret your stay at this property. Take a quick stroll to the picturesque beach or walk or drive to one of the many local restaurants. We saw lots of wildlife and beautiful one of a kind plants and trees on the property. Every morning the monkeys and morning sun woke us up at exactly 6, which was very nice. Kai is an exceptional host and was always there to help us. A pretty quick drive to Tamarindo for more restaurants and many local artisan/souvenir shops. Thanks again Kai

The Best

I love this place. Kai is an incredible host and the property is beautiful. Like so so so pretty. It's the perfect spot to be close to everything but feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. You can walk to the beach. There are other Casitas on the property, but everyone does their own thing and you rarely see the other guests. I will be back again and again and again. It's not often you discover such a total gem with a host that's gracious, informative and a wonderful human.

Great Property; Great Location; Great Host

Kai's property is beautiful - he has created something special from the surrounding rainforest/jungle. And, with a short walk, you are on Playa Grande, Ventanas Beach, or Playa Carbon. This was our first of four stops during a two-week family vacation with kids ranging from 4 to 17. Everyone had a great time and the property was a great introduction to Costa Rica - with the howler monkeys, iguanas, and other wildlife, and easy access to the ocean. Kai was great to communicate with and always available, but certainly not hovering. He respected our privacy and we got the sense he truly wanted us to enjoy his property - which we did!

Under the Canopy of Trees

We had a truly authentic Costa Rican experience staying at Casa Linda Vista. There were beautiful sunrises and sunsets from this hilltop property. Nature abounds. The best was waking up to the view and the sounds outside our windows . We saw monkeys and birds in the trees, an iguana and even an armadillo. Our host Kai was wonderful and super accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. And very much appreciated was the the extra shower outdoors after walking back from the beach. Local restaurants and a convenience store are also a short walk away.

Perfect welcome to Costa Rica

The host, Kia, makes you feel very welcome and is super helpful. It was a great first stop for our trip to Costa Rica and getting our bearings. The place is beautiful and the beds very comfortable! We definitely got to see monkeys, iguanas, many lizards, frogs, and birds!The beach is a bit of a walk through some construction areas (lots of new homes being built) once you leave the property, but it is worth it for gorgeous beaches that are not crowded. There is even a beach with all black sand and blue waters you can walk to! Kai lent us some boogie boards that the kids LOVED using. His recommendation for a local surfer, Carlos, for lessons was great too. Carlos was a fantastic (and patient) teacher! There are lots of great restaurants in the area, but we also made use of the well stocked kitchen daily to help with our budget. Overall this was a great place to stay!

Beautiful Location & Amazing Host

Last year I taught world geography at our homeschool co-op and one of the class learning objectives was: spark a new love for adventure so you may embark one day on a trip of your lifetime! I, as the teacher, took that to heart and asked my family where they would live to venture to. Costa Rica, of course. My kids love Coyote Peterson and all his ventures to Costa Rica and learning about all the animals and bugs. This place did not disappoint! If you are looking for a place close to an amazing beach, Playa Grande, but not far from the Tamarindo area, this is the place to go. The property is amazing and the home we stayed in was clean. The host, Kai was so helpful and friendly! If the opportunity arises again, we would love to stay there again. Pura Vida! We found this place in the dark in torrential rain. That in itself was an adventure, lol. Side note, when you rent a vehicle in Costa Rica, get a hotspot along with the rental. The WAZE app is also great. It was included in our hotspot. If you don't have a hotspot, it likely can be downloaded to use as your navigation throughout the country. Check out the little fruit stands along the roads. They have great local fruit and the prices are affordable. Highly recommend going in the transition season as well.

Lovely space and so close to the best beaches, playa Ventanas is a gem. Property is beautiful with wonderful wildlife right there. Away from the tourist traps and a true way to appreciate Costa Rica. Host was very kind and personable, was nice to see a host that actually cared about the property and was available.

Perfect Getaway

A super shoutout to Kai for being an amazing host…. Always readily available and helpful! If you need absolutely anything, just ask and Kai will take care of it! The house is perfect! Set away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to everything. We were greeted each morning with an abundance of life. Monkeys and birds abound! You will not regret this stay and this amazing host! An absolute pleasure!
