About this property

Tiny Chapel with Romantic Conversion, Peaceful Getaway

This Converted Chapel, a studio, is filled with character and a little bit of romance. It has everything you need for a private, romantic getaway for two. There is a king-size bed, a full bath, and a kitchenette. The recliner loveseat provides comfort as you watch movies. There is a semi-private courtyard with lighting. Our rentals have all the coziness of home within a peaceful and relaxing setting. Close to Amish Trail, hiking, horseback riding, wedding venues, etc.

At this point in time, we don't have internet at our rentals.

Welcome to The Chapel, a place to escape from the world - to find rest in a peaceful setting. This is a tiny house with everything you may need for a relaxing getaway. The 14-acre property has a couple of walking paths through the woods if you enjoy morning or evening walks. There are open lawn areas as well as wood areas for exploration. The bunnies, deer, and turkey are very active on our property - you may see them in the garden and on the walking paths. You may see the neighborhood deer on the lower lawn in the evening or early morning.

The Chapel boasts all the amenities you could need and décor to give you that country feel. It’s the perfect stay if you love the hints of yesteryear with country tranquility.

The King-sized bed is screened from the living area to give privacy.

If you are looking for something with a private bedroom and full kitchen, check out our Cottage. If you are looking for something more unique, check out our Chapel unit. Click on my picture to see all of our listings.

The Kitchenette is fully stocked (cookware for the hotplate and combo microwave/air-fryer), service for four dinnerware, glasses/coffee mugs. There is a microwave and Keurig Coffee Maker for your use. If you plan on cooking during your stay, there is an under counter refrigerator with a small freezer for your use. We provide starter amounts of coffee pods, creamer, and sugar. Depending on your length of stay, you may need to pick up more.

In the courtyard, you will find a grill available for your use. Enjoy your coffee, a glass of wine, or a bottle of beer in the courtyard at the bistro table. There is a citronella pot to hold the flying pests at bay. Plug in the lights for a little more romance.

There is a fire pit just across the lawn near the gardens for your use. Usually, there is wood available. Relax in the chairs and make s’mores or star gaze. Feel free to take advantage of the log swing near the firepit.

The Chapel has a TV with an HDTV digital antenna to see the local stations and others (no cable or Wi-Fi at this time). You will find a selection of DVDs for your use if you want to relax with a movie. We have more choices in movies if you don't see something that interests you. There is usually cell service for most carriers – this is a true get-a-way.

We just added a charge point EV charger for guests with electric cars.

We also use the units as a stay-cation; we are pet-free due to serious health issues. If you have a service animal, please let us know - thank you for understanding why we need to know.

You can enjoy the walking paths on the property. We ask that you honor the posted signs of neighbors. There is a seasonal pond out back - just a short walk away. Because we are in a wooded area, you may need bug spray.

As you take a walk around the property, you will find a picnic area on the lower lawn as well as a swing near the lower firepit. If you are interested in Horseshoes, let us know - we will get the shoes out and show you the horseshoe pit.

There is a garden you can enjoy. You will find a variety of flowers as well as seasonal fruit and veggies. You are welcome to sample the fruit/veggies.

You will share the road with Amish horse and buggies; please be aware they are harder to see at night. If you are shopping at the local Amish stores, please note they are not open on Sundays. You will also need to use cash/checks only. They do not accept credit cards.

If this unit isn’t available during the dates you want, we encourage you to check out our other units – The Cottage or Hillside Retreat.

Be sure to check your messages after inquiring or requesting to book. We usually send a message before approving.

Peaceful and Cozy
The Tiny Chapel was the perfect place for a two night winter getaway celebrating our anniversary! It is clean, cozy, private and peaceful. The hosts have thought of every detail to make the stay effortlessly comfortable, and they are gracious and responsive if needed. The kitchenette, while tiny (as advertised), is well-equipped and functional. The wooded trails are lovely and well-maintained as well. We look forward to coming back!

A peaceful stay at an excellent place
The chapel is a great place, well-furnished, conveniently located, and thoughtfully maintained. Confirmation was same day, check-in was smooth, and everything necessary was prepared inside. Nothing could be improved. I highly recommend it.

Quiet retreat at the chapel
My husband and I spent a few days at the chapel to unwind and relax after a whirlwind month. It was perfect and just what we needed. Nice property and the chapel is adorable.
