This lakehouse has been in the family for 3 generations. Our father's aunt Margaret Green ( a local school teacher) lived in the garage when she bought the property and owned this property and the one nextdoor (along the breakwall) while her house was being built. She eventually sold the lot nextdoor. After she passed away, our father purchased the lakehouse for he and mom to spend their summers at so he could be near his brothers, Norm and Burt, and their families, who all loved to hunt and spend time together. Eventually our father and mom retired here and lived out the remainder of their lives here.
My sister and I would spend summers here as teenagers with our parents, until we each went our own directions. When Dad and Mom passed away, my sister and I inherited the lakehouse and we fixed it up a bit to its present condition and decided to allow others to stay and enjoy it as well. Last year was the first year for the lakehouse on VRBO, and we were overall very pleased with the quality of our renters and the VRBO program ! We are staying with the VRBO program this year and hope that others will be blessed with their time here as much as we are when we stay here with our families. It really is a very peaceful retreat, with alot of privacy - the neighbors have all lived here for many years and are friends of ours. It is a very small town and we think that you will find that the neighbors are very friendly and keep to themselves unless you choose to be sociable with them.
Our hope is that you leave here refreshed and with very fond memories.
Enjoy !
Blessings to you,
Douglas (Big brother) and Trish (Little sister)
