Totally beautiful and recently renovated private mountain home. 4.5 private acres, with amazing views of our Western NC mountains. Situated at 2900ft elevation, you are truly Above the Clouds. Everything you need in your 2BR/1BA 1100sqft mountain escape with modern amenities in a quiet and peaceful setting. 21 minutes to downtown Asheville.

Holidays are a wonderful time to visit Asheville! Enjoy the gingerbread houses at the Omni Grove Park, and the extravagant Christmas displays at the Biltmore Estate.

Make sure you check out jazz weekends at the Biltmore Estate winery during springtime: so relaxing and unending displays of gorgeous flowers.

Summertime brings white water rafting, tubing down the French Broad river with the locals, beautiful mountain hikes, and ziplining adventures that will take your breath away.

Your home has a digital coded keylock. You have two parking spots under the carport, and one parking spot in the yard.

We don't have designated trails on the property, but you're welcome to hike on any part. We live on the top 9 acres of the mountain, and we have a tiny home on the lower 4 acres of our property.

You will probably hear our hoot owl, he loves it when people are in the hot tub. Hopefully you will see our resident hawk; you will know he is close when you hear his very loud screech. Our raccoons and bears love food, so please make sure all food is inside the house before retiring for the night.

Watching the stars, and especially meteor showers are amazing from this yard. We added a bubble tent to assure you can star gaze every night of the year!

Having a car is preferable; public transportation is not available in our area.

Most transportation services (DoorDash, Uber, Asheville RideShare, etc.) are available.

Why they chose this property

My parents bought 15 acres in the late 80's. When they talked about selling as they got older we decided we wanted to keep the property in the family. The best part of the renovating my parent's house was when four generations were in the house at the same time. My Mom and the grandchildren played while we worked, but it was magical when we finished and my Mom saw the final result and knew that their property would become a family legacy. We are Blessed!
