Home location was in a quiet neighborhood and just minutes from our friends in south Anchorage. House had everything we needed coming off a 7 night cruise from Vancouver. Kitchen equipped for us to cook our own meals once again. Much needed laundry machines. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. The fenced yard for dogs and hot tub were a plus. Plenty of room for a large family or group. Conveniently located to the airport, shopping, parks, etc.

Really nice place!

We had a great stay at this townhome. The property was clean and comfortable, the neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located and Greg was easy to communicate with. The hot tub is a great bonus as well!

Great house great neighborhood

The house was ideally located next to Seward Highway. Great restaurants nearby. Everything was clean and well-appointed and the hot tub was perfectly maintained. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Anchorage

Great spot

We lived in this property for 40 days during our transfer to Anchorage. Very comfortable for a family of 5. The property has everything you need, plus off street parking for three vehicles and of course the hot tub. The hosts are great communicators and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Would stay again in a heartbeat. 10/10!

Wonderful Home

Southside Serenity was a wonderful home! They provided so many additional comforts. Home away from home!

We enjoyed our stay for nine days. Communication with Greg was easy and thorough. There were some internet issues that Greg got on top of until it was repaired. Greg was able to find a stroller for us to use during our stay and that was very helpful with our toddler. I put in a last minute request for late check-out and the host was very accommodating. The house was large enough to give each of us our own space and is well stocked to feel at home away from home. Would definitely recommend as this is a quiet and safe location.

Way better than expected! The photos don’t do it justice!

Everything from start to finish was amazing! The check in process is seamless and simple. It’s close to shopping and food. The host went above and beyond. They left us a play pen, high chair for my son and a stroller. It was the first time we had a holiday since COVID and I have two small children. We stayed here with my husband’s brother and his family and the space was perfect for us. The beds were actually comfortable which have not always been an experience of mine with VBRO. There were detailed instructions for everything thing in the house which makes taking care of the property when you are there so much easier. The neighbours were absolutely lovely. I will rent here every time we are in anchorage.

Why they chose this property

My family and I lived in this home for almost 15 years, and we loved living there. In 2018, we had our second daughter and my wife's mother came to permanently live with us, so we simply needed a bigger house. We put a lot of time, money, energy, and love into this property though, so we didn't want to part with it. We completely remodeled the upstairs, removing the fireplace we never used, tearing down the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room, remodeling the kitchen with solid-surface countertops, and punching a new door into the wall for access directly into the back yard. We built a back deck to accommodate this new door and provide steps down to the yard, we replaced the fence around the back yard, and we added a hot tub on a wooden platform. We also replaced all of the flooring in the house, with the porcelain tile in the bathrooms, kitchen, and entryway being laid by me personally.

I love that I can hold onto this home that has so many happy memories and offer it to you as a fitting base-of-operations for your visit to Anchorage / Alaska! There is no shortage of interesting things to do or see around here, but you may find yourself content just sitting and relaxing at our Ocean View Townhome :)
